Rewriting Fate with My Apex War Goddess (by Ezekiel Valor) novel Chapter 393

Chapter 393 Ambush!

Bloodfiend thought it over. “You mean… wipe out his entire team?”

Liam nodded.

Bloodfiend rubbed his chin.

“Let me think… There might be a way…

“Maybe we let Alex handle it… I’ll give it a shot.”

Finished

After collecting the two–pound meteorite fragment, Steven and the others went another three hours without finding a single piece.

Even so, their haul was still the largest so far, totaling over 3.4 pounds.

“Steven, looks like our luck’s run out. It’s been ages, and we haven’t even seen another speck.”

Steven couldn’t help laughing. “We’ve already hit a huge haul.”

“If you convert this into divine crystals, that’s around 1.7 million. If you break it down into level 1 beast crystals, that’s 170,000. You really think that’s not a lot?”

Bianca grinned, a little sheepish. “Yeah, that does sound like a lot. Guess we’ve actually been pretty lucky.”

“Of course.”

Peter’s voice came through the earpiece. “Bianca, what kind of insane luck did Vice Captain have to land a girlfriend like you?”

Steven shot back with a laugh, “What do you mean, luck? We’re a perfect match.”

Bianca chimed in, “Then what kind of luck did you have to meet Darlene?”

“Hahaha! Peter, guess she’s talking back to you now!” Danny said, his tone dripping with mock envy.

Peter muttered under his breath.

Just as his voice trailed off.

Peter suddenly shouted, “Holy shit! A head… a human head!”

Everyone froze.

“It’s just a head. What’s there to freak out about?” Louie said.

Darlene’s breathing quickened. “It’s a meteorite fragment… about the size of a human head!”

In an instant, everyone’s expression changed.

“Where?”

“Where is it?”

Peter took a deep breath.

“A level 3 Shadow Wolf’s carrying it… the thing spotted me, and it’s running!”

“I’ve got it! You guys keep searching!”

The moment he finished speaking, Peter shot forward.

He was practically losing his mind.

A fragment that size, even after impurities, had to weigh over 20 pounds.

How many divine crystals was that?

Ten million?

Maybe even 20 million.

Peter’s eyes locked onto the target.

Darlene called out, “Don’t be reckless!”

She quickly chased after him.

The others moved as well.

“Damn it! You beast! Drop my divine crystals!” Peter shouted, completely worked up.

Steven felt a flicker of excitement too, but his expression grew serious. This was getting loud.

“Keep the noise down. Bianca and I are going after it.”

Steven grabbed Bianca’s hand and sprinted after Peter.

Alan said, “Stay alert. Keep up, and don’t miss anything underfoot.”

That finally got everyone to rein it in.

“Damn thing’s fast. Seriously, what the hell!”

Steven spoke up, “Be careful. Shadow Wolves are fast by nature. Don’t get careless.”

“Relax. I’ve got this. I can take it down!”
