Chapter 511 Stomped Into the Ground
Teeth flew through the air as Tristan’s body was launched upward.
Steven let out a quiet snort and shot into the sky after him.
In an instant, he appeared above Tristan.
Then he stomped down hard.
Boom!
Tristan’s mind went blank. The pain was so intense that he could barely feel anything anymore.
His body crashed back toward the ground.
Boom!
He slammed into the earth, leaving behind a giant crater as dust exploded into the air. Nobody knew how many bones he had broken. His body was practically ruined.
The entire attack flowed together in one smooth motion.
Everyone watching stood frozen in shock.
Steven landed beside the crater and stepped on Tristan’s/chest. Tristan looked like a broken man lying in the dirt. The area fell completely silent.
Steven spoke coldly, “I hate sneak attacks more than anything.”
Blood poured from Tristan’s mouth as he stared up in pain.
Yet the hatred in his eyes remained. The killing intent was still there.
A cold light exploded in Steven’s eyes.
At that moment, Candy finally snapped out of her shock.
“Steven! Please stop!”
Wearing a bright red dress, Candy rushed over as fast as she could.
Steven looked up at her.
The students gathering nearby immediately reacted as if help had finally arrived
“Candy’s here!
“She’s one of the strongest students in the academy! She’ll stop him!”
“Candy, teach this psycho a lessont
“Protect the academy’s reputation! We can’t let someone act like this on our campus!”
Candy’s expression was solemn; she ignored all of them.
She walked directly to Steven and spoke politely. “Steven, please show mercy.”
The surrounding students froze.
Why was Candy being so respectful toward this guy?
Candy was one of the academy’s representatives for the upcoming Awakened Tournament. She was already a level 34, Four-Sigil Divine Knight, one of the brightest talents of the academy and one of the geniuses of their city.
So why was she treating a student from Rowenville with such respect?
Who exactly was this Steven?
Steven glanced at Candy. “He tried to kill me.”
Candy quickly stepped in. “He’s already paid the price for what he did. Please show some mercy. If this gets out of hand, things could become impossible to control. His older brother is Kenneth. If Tristan dies, it’ll only create bigger problems.”
She hesitated before continuing. “And please, for the sake of Orroux Academy-and for the two directors -don’t let this go any further.”
Steven frowned.
“If I let him go, he’ll come after me again.” He glanced down at Tristan. “I’d rather kill him now.”
Steven said it casually, as if he were discussing the weather. Candy didn’t think he was bluffing. She genuinely believed he would do it.
People like Steven, who had spent years fighting in Awakened Squads, had long since lost any hesitation when it came to killing.
Lying on the ground, Tristan felt fear for the first time. He forced himself to stay quiet No threats. No insults. Not now. He had to endure this to survive.
Candy looked at Steven and said, “You don’t need to worry about that. I’ll explain everything to Mr. Lane. We’ll speak with his family and Kenneth as well.
“Mr. Lane won’t allow them to retaliate against you.”
