Chapter 526-A Martial Master in the Making
# Finished
Candy asked, “You saw what he did inside the archive, didn’t you?”
Lola nodded as well. “Yeah. He went through every level 6 combat art on the third floor.”
Candy shook her head. “No.”
Lola blinked. “No?”
Candy spoke with a serious expression. “He didn’t just look through them. He learned and mastered every single one.”
Lola was deeply shaken at her words.
Right.
Back on the third floor, she had clearly seen Steven unleash an incredibly powerful Equinox Fist.
She stared at Candy in disbelief. “What exactly are you trying to say?”
Candy answered calmly. “No matter what combat art it is, Steven only needs to see it once. After that, he can reproduce it perfectly and performed at the highest level. Tell me, if that isn’t a Martial Master, then what is?”
Lola’s eyes nearly popped out of her head. “No way. Absolutely impossible. That’s pure fantasy. Now that’s exaggerating.”
Candy shook her head. “Mr. Lane and I witnessed it ourselves. He saw my sword technique only once. Just once. And then he learned it completely. Not only that, he produced all 108 sword patterns. He even surpassed me. Do you still think I’m making this up?”
Lola froze at this.
That meant Steven had really learned Equinox Fist after watching it only once. Not only did he learn it he had mastered it perfectly.
Robby let out a helpless sigh. “Why can’t I ever find students like that?”
Lola was speechless. Wait… was her mentor openly complaining about her?
Steven walked alongside Bianca as the group headed back together.
Frank let out a long sigh. “I honestly never imagined you’d come this far. With you here. Rowenville’s chances in this year’s Awakened Tournament are looking really good.”
“It’s not just me. Bianca and Fiona have improved a lot too. Fiona is about to reach Four-Sigil.
“What?!”
Everyone immediately turned toward Fiona in shock.

She was already about to become a Four-Sigil Awakened?
Even Frank was wordless
“Does the Awakened Squad really train people that well?” he asked in disbelief.

Bianca smiled softly. “That’s because you don’t know what we’ve been through. Calling it dangerous would be putting it lightly. We’ve fought our way through mountains of beast corpses. We had no choice but to get stronger.”
Frank nodded. “That makes sense. And you were training under Alan too. I bet he was standing behind you every day with a whip, pushing you to improve.”
Steven and Bianca exchanged amused looks.
Fiona also glanced at Steven without thinking. The one who had really been standing behind them with the whip wasn’t Alan. It was Steven.
Lilliana and Serena couldn’t help feeling a deep longingness.
The speed of their growth was simply unbelievable.
Meanwhile, the two of them were still struggling at Two-Sigil.
For a moment, Lilliana felt as if a lifetime had passed.
If she hadn’t been so proud back then, would she be standing beside Steven now, growing stronger alongside him?.
But the past was the past. She had learned to move on. She had also learned how to make friends sincerely.
There was nothing wrong with moving a little slower.
The group continued chatting for a long time.
Frank would stay with group near Orroux Academy until the tournament began. When the time came, they would compete in the tournament as planned.

During the day, Frank Jed everyone in sparring sessions. Once the teams from the other mid-sized cities arrived, they would also spar with each other to discover each other’s strengths. It was an old tradition. Everyone wanted to get a look at their future opponents.
Later, only Steven, Bianca, and Fiona remained beside Frank:
“Steven, our academy is counting on you three in this year’s tournament.””
Steven smiled and assured him, “Don’t worry. With Bianca and Fiona around, we’ll be fine. I’ll just stay in the back and hold the line.”
Frank chuckled but shook his head. “I know you’re all strong now, but don’t underestimate anyone. I heard Oakridge has two outstanding young fighters this year-somebody and a girl. They’re both close to reaching Four-Sigil.
“They’re Oakridge Academy’s trump cards, and they’re aiming for the championship too. Be careful.”
The trio nodded. “We will.”
Frank continued, “I won’t keep you any longer. I know Alan has run into some trouble recently, but unfortunately, there isn’t much we can do to help.”
Steven shook his head. “Don’t worry, Frank. We’ll be there when the tournament starts.”
Frank nodded. Then he pulled out a suit of armor and three crystals from his spatial converter.
Steven’s eyes lit up. An S-rank battle suit.
