He was definitely someone they couldn’t ignore.

Alan looked at Logan.

“My team is looking for new members right now. If you’re interested in joining, we’d be happy to have

you.

“But we’re in the middle of a crisis. We can’t just bring you onto the team now. It would look like we’re only using you because we need your strength.

“Besides, anyone who wants to join the team has to pass a test. And you’re pretty high–level, aren’t you?”

Logan grinned. “Level 48. Nothing special.”

Alan stared at him. “That’s higher than me.”

Logan waved it off. “Levels don’t mean much. I just want to follow Mr. Fisher.”

Steven said, “To be fair, with the danger we’re about to face, promises don’t mean much right now. Trust takes time.”

Logan immediately understood.

“I know. When the fighting starts, I’ll stand with all of you. We’ll fight together. I promise I’ll give it everything I’ve got and protect everyone here.”

He turned to Steven.

“Mr. Fisher, I know you want to test me. That’s fine. You can exen use me as your weapon if you want. I won’t complain. I’m a straightforward guy. Just watch what I do when the time comes. Come on. For now, just consider me a reserve member of Team Ashen.”

He immediately began pulling things out.

“Here. Take some vitality orbs, stamina orbs, and healing orbs. During battle, don’t hold back. Use as many as you need. I’ve got plenty.”

Everyone stared as Logan pulled handful after handful of expensive supplies from his spatial convertex They were speechless.

“Oh, right. Take these protective origin artifacts too. One for each of you. Each one can block a single attack from a Divine King.”

Everyone froze. All they could do was watch as Logan shoved valuable items into their hands.

Even this small pile had to be worth billions of divine crystals.

Chapter 688 Money Talks

Finished

Did this guy seriously have no idea how much money he was throwing around?

And just how much stuff did he have inside that spatial converter?

This was insane.

Before anyone could recover, Logan spoke again.

‘Oh! I noticed some of you are still wearing A–rank battle armor. Here, take an S–rank set each.” He paused. ‘What weapons do you guys use? I’ve got S–rank weapons too. Everyone can pick one.”

Steven quickly stopped him.

‘What are you doing? Trying to buy off my teammates?”

Logan shook off his hand.

‘Mr. Fisher, this isn’t the time for jokes. This equipment can improve everyone’s combat strength and chances of survival. Seriously, don’t worry about the cost. Money means nothing to me compared to friendship.”

He looked completely serious.

“You can’t buy real friendship with money, can you?”

Well… technically, maybe you can. Just not very often. We have to let this walking gold mine join the team.

With a teammate like him, we’ll never have to struggle for resources again.

Honestly, I wouldn’t mind having two or three more people like him.

What a wonderful guy. Please, keep buying us off.

“I’m not stupid. I don’t give this stuff to just anyone. I genuinely see potential in Ashen. I want to join you guys. Traveling and fighting alongside all of you sounds pretty great to me. So please, seriously consider it

“And I’m not trying to bribe you with this stuff. I just want to make a good first impression. Whether I’m worthy, you can judge my performance later. I promise I won’t disappoint you.”

Everyone stared at the equipment in their hands and fell silent.

In the past, they would never have accepted so many gifts from someone.
