Rewriting Fate with My Apex War Goddess (by Ezekiel Valor) novel Chapter 674

Chapter 674 Steven Breaks the Deadlock

There were simply too many enemies.

They had been fighting nonstop for two full hours, but Cayden’s group still hadn’t won.

Instead, they had suffered terrible losses.

Only about 150 people remained. Several Divine Kings had already died. Most of the survivors were Divine Kings and core members from the five Celestial Army squads, along with the strongest members of the other Awakened Squads.

Steven’s side was doing a little better. He had noticed that Alan kept protecting Soulreaver and Nebula whenever he had the chance. Because of that, they had managed to keep most of their people alive.

Even so, their numbers were getting dangerously low.

If this battle dragged on, they would eventually fall.

Yet the beasts kept coming as if there were no end to them.

Steven’s expression darkened.

None of these deaths had been necessary.

But somehow, things had reached this point.

All around the battlefield, people cried out in frustration. Why couldn’t they defeat Darby’s group?

That was exactly what Darby had planned.

The God Eaters knew they didn’t need to defeat their opponents. They only had to fight carefully, stay alive, and drag out the battle. Time was on their side.

Steven spoke in a grim voice. “At this rate, everyone is going to die. We have to do something!”

Alan and the other two looked at him.

Alan nodded. “Go. Don’t worry about us.”

Logan shouted, “Mr. Fisher, I’ll protect your wife with my life!”

Logan stood out in this battle.

He was always charging at the front. His attacks were fierce, and he had protected Bianca many times.

Steven stopped hesitating.

He took a deep breath and focused.

His eyes swept across the battlefield.

Every Divine King was locked in a brutal fight, but none of them had made much progress.

A few had managed to kill several level 6 beasts, but killing the God Eaters was much harder.

Someone had to break the stalemate.

A cold light flashed in Steven’s eyes.

If raw strength wasn’t enough, he would use his speed.

His breathing technique surged to life.

Divine essence rushed toward him from every direction.

The sudden pull even affected the others who knew breathing techniques.

Then Steven unleashed everything.

Scorchblood Ignition! Activate! White steam poured from his body.

Beast-type Divine Sigil! Activate! Golden light flashed around him.

The Dragon Spear appeared in his hand.

Firmament Wings! Activate!

Boom!

Steven vanished. He moved so fast that it looked like teleportation.

In the next instant, he appeared beside Riley.

Riley was fighting two level 6 beasts at once. He was in terrible shape.

Blood covered his body. His armor shattered again and again, rebuilding itself each time.

Blood spilled from his mouth.
