Chapter 156 The Nightfang
Chapter 156 The Nightfang
Jensen’s POV
Each refresh of the feed was a fresh lash against my pride.
“What? Alpha Jensen was lying?”
“Is this the first time the Keeper has fought back this hard?”
“But weren’t all of her past designs licensed through his Pack?”

The comments were dragging my name and the Nightfang legacy into the most unforgiving spotlight.
The heavy double doors of my office burst open.
I didn’t need to look up to know who it was.
The Pack Council – the elders who had worked with my forefathers marched in, their faces contorted with a mixture of panic and fury.
“Jensen, what the hell are you doing?” Alpha Elder Silas slammed his cane against the marble floor, the sound echoing like a gunshot.
“Jensen, do you realize how much our territory’s influence has plummeted in the last hour?” another Councilor barked, his eyes flashing a frantic amber.
“The Iron Claw Pack has already moved their border markers,” Silas hissed, leaning over my desk.
“They’ve taken the silver mines in the eastern ridge. They say if the Nightfang Alpha is a jester who chases ghosts on the internet, he has no right to the riches of the earth. Jensen, the alliances aren’t just dissolving; they are turning into target markers on our backs.”
Behind him, Elder Hokan paced like a caged beast.
“The Blood Moon clan was our shield against the Northern Alphas! Without their signature on the Accord… we are open to an invasion. Do you want to see the Nightfang pups slaughtered in their nurseries or the entire pack in chaos?”
“If you truly have such a fated relationship with her, then fix this mess right now!” Silas said, still leaned over by my desk, his breath smelling of stale tobacco.

“Other packs are already circling our borders, smelling a weakness in the leadership. If you don’t bring the Keeper back to the fold, the Nightfang is finished.”
Their voices buzzed in my ears like a swarm of angry hornets.
But I didn’t react.
My eyes were glued to the single sentence on the screen:
“I. The Keeper, have no connection whatsoever to Nightfang’s Alpha Jensen. Please show some self–respect. Alpha Jensen.”
The Natalie I knew – the girl who had stitched my wounds and looked at me with eyes full of love could never have written this.
She wouldn’t have used the word self–respect as a weapon.
She wouldn’t have addressed me as “Alpha Jensen” as if I were a stranger on the street.
‘Natalie would never deny us, Cairn confirmed my suspicions.
The realization was instant; this wasn’t her..
“Shut up!” I growled
The Councilors froze, their frantic bickering silenced by the sheer, murderous weight of my glare.
Silas took a staggered step back, his face turning a sickly shade of grey.
I stood up, the chair behind me skidding across the floor.
I looked at the men who had dared to question my control, my eyes burning with Cairn’s
presence.
“Gentlemen, Alpha Jensen will handle this matter personally. The Nightfang will not fall today. Please, return to your homes and prepare for a briefing in the morning.” Hansel said.
He moved even better than Felix – my former better would have.
The door clicked shut.
The silence that followed was even more suffocating than the noise.
I lunged for my phone, my fingers trembling with a mix of rage and a terrifying despair.
