Chapter 215 She Spat The Pill Out
Jensen’s POV
I looked at my mother and felt a cold shard of disbelief lodge in my throat.
“Mom… you want me to take Natalie to court?” I rasped
Cairn paced restlessly in the back of my mind, his lips curled back in a silent snarl.
Loretta didn’t even flinch at my tone.
She stood tall, her aura of command pressing down on everyone in the hallway.

“There’s no need to take her to court, Jensen; but she can’t have those five years of income, either. That capital stays within the pack where it belongs.”
She stepped closer, her scent of jasmine and steel sharpening.
“Consider it something she gave to us willingly or her way of repaying you for saving her from the Summers‘ trash back then. Jensen, I know you’re sentimental, but you understand better than anyone what state the pack is in right now. The High Accord is already circling like vultures. If you keep tangling with Natalie in a public financial dispute, do you know how much the pack will fall?”
Loretta’s words were cold.
I had no rebuttal.
Across from me, I saw Sharon’s expression.
She was trying to look aggrieved, but through the faint link, I could sense the soaring triumph in her mind.
She was practically vibrating with glee.
With Loretta stepping in as her shield, she knew the bridge between Natalie and me was being ruined.
Just as the silence became unbearable, everything scattered again.
“Sharon! Give me back my husband’s life!”

Stop her!”
The bodyguards moved like a blow, catching the woman mid–lunge.
The syringe clattered to the floor, the needle snapping against the tile.
“Let me go! Let me go!” the woman shrieked, her voice echoing off the hospital walls.
I turned my gaze toward Sharon, expecting to see terror.
I saw it… but it was the wrong kind of terror.
Sharon had frozen, her face drained of what little color it had left.
For a split second, a flicker of raw panic shot through her eyes.
I watched her closely, my eyes narrowing into slits.
She recognized this woman.
Loretta growled, “Who the heck is this? Attacking someone in broad daylight… outrageous!” she snapped, her voice full of fury.
She instinctively moved to shield Sharon’s belly with her hand, a gesture of protection that made my stomach turn.
“Send her to the pack prison. To dare lay a hand on the Luna – she must have a death wish!”
The madwoman tried to shout more but her mouth was quickly covered by a warrior’s hand.
She was dragged away, her muffled screams fading into the distance.
The hallway returned to a heavy silence.
My brows knit together, my gaze boring into Sharon.
She looked like she was about to collapse.
Guilt was churning inside her so loudly I could almost hear it over her thundering heartbeat.
Sensing my scrutiny, she immediately threw herself into Loretta’s arms, sobbing with a theatrical desperation.
“Mom, I’m so scared. Oh, gods… could it be Natalie? Could Natalie have found out I’m pregnant and deliberately sent someone after me? She hates me so much, Mom!”
“Outrageous!” Loretta barked, her maternal protectiveness flaring. “If she dares harm a child of this family, I’ll be the first to deal with her! That girl has forgotten her place!”
I let out a cold snort.
Sharon didn’t dare look at my face.
Now I finally see what kind of person I was protecting.
I had spent years defending Sharon’s innocence against Natalie’s jealousy, only to find that it’s the other way.

Mom said, my voice like ice. “If you want to keep the child, fine. If you want to help her protect the pregnancy, I won’t obje is my blood, as you say.”
Loretta looked at me, her eyes narrowing, waiting for the “but.”
“But I’m busy,” I continued, my tone unyielding won’t be moving back home. My life is at the office and in the territory. As for Natalie… don’t interfere. I’ll handle the Stone family and the income myself.”
Loretta frowned, her scent spiking with displeasure. “Jensen, this is not the time for defiance-”
“The family is still under my command,” I interrupted, the Alpha’s authority finally bleeding into my voice, forcing her to realize wasn’t a pup anymore. “And Natalie’s reputation isn’t small; she is a Stone heiress now. Tearing things apart with her completely through a petty financial lawsuit wouldn’t be wise. If she ended up siding with a rival pack out of spite, we’d lose far more than we’d gain. I will find a way to settle with her that doesn’t involve the legal department’s blunt axe.”
Only then did Loretta relent, giving a stiff nod of acknowledgement.
“Fine, you handle it. But you still need to give Sharon face. The setup she suffered must be clarified. We cannot have the future heir’s mother associated with such filth.”

“Mom, I’m leaving.”
I had no desire to touch that subject.
The image of Sharon in that alleyway was etched into my mind.
They caught her in bed with another man… how the heck could I clear her name?
And besides, this scandal will blow over soon enough; why would drag it back into the spotlight?
I turned on my heel and walked away.
