Chapter 203 The Pupe‘ Bivatty
Chapter 263 The Pups‘ Rivalry
Natalie’s POV
Flynn fell into step beside me, his tall, broad frame radiating a protective warmth.
His golden eyes flicked toward the lead vehicle.
I could already tell he intended to steal me for the entire drive down.
I could smell his anticipation, he was desperate to use the drive down to the pack sideto–dote on the sister he had lost for over two decades.
But before he could even reach out to open the door for me, a towering shadow all over us.
Baron stepped forward and cut Flynn off mid–stride.
He reached out, his large, scarred hand sliding effortlessly into mine, his fingers intertwining with a natural ease that made my inner wolf, Nyx, let out a satisfied hum deep within my chest.
“You can dote on my wife all you want, brother–in–law,” Baron said, his voice a level baritone that carried a mocking edge.
He looked at Flynn, his dark eyes glittering with dry amusement.
“But don’t forget that I actually exist in this territory. I’m the certified brother–in–law here under the high laws of the council Hogging her for the entire territorial run isn’t very polite, is it?”
Flynn’s mouth twitched violently.
His eyebrows shot up, his nostrils flaring slightly as his pride bristled at the absolute audacity.
I watched my brother’s expression, and I could practically see the gears shifting in his mind.
A soft, breathless laugh bubbled up in my throat.
I stifled it quickly, tugging gently at Baron’s hand to break the silent stare–down that was beginning to make the hidden sentinels at the perimeter look nervous.
“Ignore him, Flynn,” I said, a light, genuine warmth coloring my tone as I smiled up at my mate.
“He gets like this sometimes, It’s a stubborn trait of the pack.”
r
“Mate,” Baron said, his deep voice suddenly dropping into a low, wounded rumble that sounded absurdly like a scolded pup.
He leaned in slightly, his scent turning sweet and heavy.
I patted the back of his hand with my free fingers before turning my gaze back to my brother.
“Brother, I’ll ride with Baron in the lead transport. We need to pick the children up from the pack kindergarten first anyway.” “Fine,” Flynn ground out between his teeth, though the fond light in his golden eyes didn’t dim.
He shook his head, letting out a low, defeated huff that let me know he was yielding only because it was my wish.

The drive to the elite pack kindergarten was short
When we stepped through the heavy oak doors of the academy, the directosan elder omega whose lineage had managed the pack’s young shifters for decades–looked intensely uneasy at our sudden, unannounced request for immediate leave
She held her clipboard against her chest but the moment she lifted her eyes and me& Baron’s sharp, intimidating expression alt her objections died instantly in her throat.
The words of pack protocol she had been preparing vanished into the air.
“I’ll… I’ll fetch the children immediately, Alpha,” she stammered, bowing her head in a swift gesture of absolute submission before scurrying down the carpeted corridor.
A few minutes later, the heavy security doors at the end of the hall clicked open.
Sean and Susie trudged out into the reception area, their small shoulders slightly slumped.
They were clearly exhausted by the structure of their first full day of formal pack interaction until they lifted their heads and spotted us waiting by the grand entrance.
In a fraction of a second, their entire demeanor transformed.
The exhaustion vanished from their small frames.
Their eyes lit up as they bolted forward across the polished floorboards.
“Daddy! Mommy!”
My heart melted entirely at the sound of their high–pitched, synchronized shouts.
I quickly dropped my bag onto a chair and crouched down on the floor, opening my arms wide to welcome the impact of their small bodies, ready to hold them until the lingering stress of the pack was completely wiped away.
The twins dashed toward me as if they were racing each other across the hunting grounds, their little legs moving in a frantic, competitive blur.
Sean was a half–step ahead, his focus locked onto my chest, while Susie let out a small, fiercely competitive growt as she tried to overtake him.
But just as they were about to dive simultaneously into my embrace, Baron swooped in from the side with the effortless speed of a predator.
He reached down, his massive arms wrapping around Susie’s waist, and snatched her cleanly up into the air before her boots could even touch my coat.
Susie blinked in utter confusion, her little legs still running in mid–air for a split second as she hung suspended in her father’s iron grip.
Meanwhile, Sean utilized the sudden clearance to crash directly into my chest.

The impact knocked me back slightly, but! caught him easily, my arms wrapping securely around his small frame as I lifted him up into my embrace.
He was warm, smelling of cedar and the sweet milk the kindergarten served, his little hands immediately locking around my neck.
Up in Baron’s arms, Susie’s confusion instantly sharpened into a dark, offended scowl.
She glared down at her father, her tiny fists bunching up against his suit jacket as she began to wriggle furiously
“Stinky Daddy!” she squealed.
“Let me down! I want Mommy!”
Sean, usually so quiet in public, flushed at her outburst.
”
But instead of letting go, he hugged my neck even tighter, burying his face into the curve of my shoulder and pressing his cheek smugly against mine.
He turned his head just enough to shoot his sister a quiet, triumphant look from beneath his dark lashes.
My heart swelled until it felt tight within my ribs.
I turned my head, pressing a soft kiss against Sean’s temple as I held him against my chest.
Baron stared at his son for a long second before scoffing under his breath.
“Ungrateful traitor.”
“How was your first day, my loves?” I asked gently.
“Did you enjoy the lessons? Did you make any friends among the local lineages?”
Susie’s indignation vanished as quickly as it had arrived, her expressive little face beaming with a sudden excitement as she gave up on squirming.
“It was great, Mommy! So many kids came to our desk and played with us! They brought us the shiny stones and the drawing blocks!”
Sean let out a soft, tiny scoff against my neck, his golden eyes opening as he gave his sister a flat, deeply unimpressed look.
“Played with us?” he muttered, his voice articulate but small. “More like you bared your teeth and forced them to play with you until they gave you their toys.”
Baron frowned, his dark brows knitting together as he looked up at his daughter.
“What do you mean, Sean? Did someone provoke her?”
Susie’s eyes flashed with a sudden, dangerous spark that looked terrifyingly like her father’s.
