“I’m hungry.” I spoke up, my voice returning back to normal as I shoved the empty porcelain cup back onto her silver tray

I lifted my chin, trying to project the old, authority of Luna to remind her of my placement.

“Go down to the kitchen registry and get me something substantial to eat. Tell the chef need lean red meat and nutrient broths to restore my blood channels. Move quickly.”

“Yes, Ms. Sharon. Right away,” Norah murmured, her head bowing low as she gathered the tray.

She turned and exited the chamber with a quiet, soft patter of her shoes, the heavy wooden door clicking shut behind her.

The moment the room was empty, the fragile facade of my strength collapsed.

I threw the heavy wool blankets aside, ignoring the sharp, pulsing stabs of pain in my abdomen as I dragged my weak body across the floorboards toward the high arched window.

I pressed my face directly against the cold glass pane, my fingers clawing at the wooden frame as I looked out into the twilight of the courtyard below.

My heart sank.

A heavy, suffocating wave of pure despair swept through my chest

Bodyguards were everywhere.

The elite alpha sentinels of the pack vanguard were patrolling the gravel paths in pairs, their silver-tipped spears glinting under the security lamps.

My phone was gone, snatched by the enforcers during the assault in the corridor.

I had absolutely no means of digital communication, no way to reach the High Council or trigger an alignment review.

Is Jensen genuinely planning to cut me off from the outside world completely?

The realization was a freezing weight in my belly.

Why is he doing this to me?

Everything was supposed to go exactly according to the plan I had laid out five years ago.

I had faked the moon-sickness perfectly, had secured the mate bond, and had positioned myself to inherit the multi-billion-dollar empire of the South.

I was supposed to be the queen of the Nightfang territory – so why am I the one trapped inside an iron cage now, while the past

burns behind me?

My thoughts automatically veered toward the one name that had haunted my lineage since the day of the baby switch.

Chapter 275 The Pelucon The Damned

“Damn

Thissed, my

difeing into tive glass pane.

A toxic, boiling wave of pure jealousy flooded my veins, making my teeth clench until my jaw throbbed

“Even after I took back the life that should’ve been mine by right of birth, why is she still better off than me? How could that athless scholar possibly be the biological daughter of Waylon Stone? How could she have the entire Stone Pack and the Nightfang Pack vanguard backing her threshold? That’s impossible! The registry fogs have to be a lie!”

I stopped, my breath fogging the cold glass as a sudden realization leaped within my mind.

froze, staring at my own blurry reflection in the pane.

Twenty-five years ago… the chaos of the hospital ward during the silver raids… the old switch that had placed me in the human sectors while Natalie was raised in the luxury of the Summers den.

We were switched at birth.

Every registry archive stated that the switch was a simple accident between two local cradles.

But what if the confusion ran even deeper?

What if the hospital logs were manipulated by a secondary faction?

“Could it be…” I muttered to myself, a smile forming on my face.

“Could it be that I am the real, true Stone family heiress? Natalie was just an orphan whose blood was convenient, but I… I carry the true lineage of the Frost! It was my cradle that was supposed to be sent to the Northern ridges!”

The more I spoke the words aloud into the empty bedroom, the more absolutely, undeniably sure I became.

It made perfect sense.

A basic, low-tier scholar like Natalie could never have attracted an Alpha like Baron on her own merit; she had to be occupying a space that belonged to me.

The universe had made a mistake, a double-switch that had robbed me of my true kingdom..

A sudden surge of confidence rushed through my blood, my heart hammering a triumphant rhythm against my ribs.

Yes. That’s the key.

If I can just find a way to break through this live-wired fence and get in touch with Waylon Stone or send a direct blood-sample to the Northern Council… they will recognize the true frequency of their lineage in my marrow.

They will realize that Natalie is nothing but an imposter sitting on my throne.

I could live Natalie’s life instead.

I could claim the Stone Pack’s billions, command the Northern vanyards, and then… then maybe Jensen would finally look at me

with the reverence and the fear that I deserve.
