Chapter–315 The Blood Bond
Chapter 315 The Blood Bond
Natalie’s POV
“Grandma! Grandpa!” Her voice echoed down the hall as I followed her outside.
I should have been watching her but I was watching something else.
Baron.

The moment he stepped out near the SUV, everything inside me shifted.
My heart jumped before I could ever name the feeling.
It caught me completely off guard.
He had only been gone for a few hours.
A few hours yet it felt like days.
Yet standing there now, broad shoulders illuminated by the fading evening light, I suddenly realized how quiet the villa had felt without him.
Every corner seemed to carry traces of him.
And Nyx reacted before I did.
My wolf surged forward inside my chest, like she had been asleep for too long and suddenly remembered exactly where she belonged.
Baron.
I missed him.
That realization didn’t arrive properly.
It slipped in through Nyx instead.
My fingers tightened around Sean’s hand beside me, but it did nothing to steady the pull.
Because Nyx wasn’t asking anymore.
She was reaching.
Baron crouched just in time to catch Susie as she threw herself into him.
His arms wrapped around her instantly, controlled but protective, like it was the most natural thing in the world
And I felt it again.
Phat pull
Stronger this time.

Chapter 315 The Blood Bond
The bond between us shifted like something that had been dormant finally waking up.
Baron’s head lifted stightly as his gaze found mine across the courtyard.
And the world narrowed.
Noise faded.
Even breath felt distant.
Just him and me.
Nyx pressed harder.
Baron
I didn’t say it aloud.
But something inside me did.
A quiet fracture in my chest opened without warning.
‘I miss you?
The response hit me harder than it should have.
Heat rushed into my chest.
Not because of the words themselves but because of how quickly he answered.
No hesitation.
No confusion.
Baron didn’t react outwardly but I felt him shift.
Just slightly.
And then it came back; his response.
Low.
‘I miss you too, Natalie‘
Nyx practically purred inside me
The feeling startled me
She wanted him closer wanted his scent.
And embarrassingly enough, I wasn’t sure the feeling belonged entirely to her anymore.
My chest tightened, and I realized I had been holding Sean’s hand far too tightly

Chapter–315 The Blood Bond
Hoosened my grip slowly.
Baron turned slightly, redirecting his attention to Susie, but the connection didn’t break.
It just… paused.
Behind him, Ruby and Waylon stepped forward.
Susie immediately lit up again, her attention snapping toward them.
“Are you my real Grandma and Grandpa?”
The question came out loud and unfiltered.
Waylon froze for half a second.
Ruby didn’t.
“Oh my goodness,” she breathed, already stepping forward. “Yes, sweetheart. We are.”
Susie gasped like she had just discovered treasure.
“You’re so pretty,” she declared. “No wonder Mommy is pretty too.”
I closed my eyes briefly.
Of course she said that.

Ruby let out a soft laugh that sounded almost everwhelmed, then bent down and pulled Susie into her arms without hesitation.
Watching them together did something strange to my
chest.
Because for the first time in my life, I wasn’t imagining what having a family looked like.
I was standing inside it.
“Oh, I like her,” she said instantly.
Waylon followed more slowly, but I saw it.
The shift… The softness.
Even his stern expression eased slightly as he looked at her.
Sean stepped forward beside me then.
“Hello, Grandma. Hello, Grandpa.”
His voice was polite..
“My name is Sean”
A pause.

Chapter 315 The Blood Bond
“You can call me Sean.”
That was it and somehow that made Ruby’s eyes shine even more.
Waylon didn’t even hesitate this time.
He reached down and lifted Sean into his arms like was the most natural decision in the world.
Sean blinked once then adjusted.
I exhaled softly, watching both my children disappear into their arms.
And just like that, the villa stopped feeling empty.
Flynn stood near the pillar looking completely forgotten..
“Wow,” he muttered. “No greeting for me at all. That’s crazy.”
I didn’t answer him because my attention was still somewhere else.
