Chapter 352 The Perimeter Paradox
Baron’s POV

There was no steel barrier, no visible marker cutting through the waves. But the moment we crossed it, my tracking systems registered the shift with the violent precision of an electrical shock.
The console beneath my hands released one sharp mechanical tone as the interceptor gunboat cleared the three–mile territorial limit.
The blue jurisdiction markers on the radar screen blinked twice before dissolving into complete darkness.
The public exchange vanished.
The legal tracking lanes connecting our location back to the Southern High Council networks went completely silent.
We had stepped outside the world controlled by contracts, injunctions, and administrative signatures.
Out here, there was only the ocean.
Only steel.
Only whoever had the stronger hand.
I remained at the helm, my blistered fingers adjusting the manual override controls as I kept our interceptor locked into the massive wake of the Sovereign Leviathan.
The thirty–thousand–ton flagship continued cutting through the Atlantic like a moving fortress, throwing waves of white foam behind it as it disappeared deeper into international waters.
My attention was fixed on the amber tracking signal glowing ahead.
Natalie.
The bond marker confirming she was still inside the flagship’s lower receiving decks.
The connection between us was barely a whisper now.
The suppression grids inside the Leviathan were working constantly, trying to drown out her frequency, but they had failed.
They could weaken the signal.
They could bury it beneath layers of interference but they could never destroy it.
The Frost lineage was still alive inside my marrow.
And that meant she was still standing.
Alpha, the target vessel has initiated full maritime blackout parameters.

Renee’s voice cut through the cabin speakers, calm and emotionless.

“The Sovereign Leviathan has dropped its commercial transponder identity from the international registry. They are no longer operating as a luxury vessel. They are officially running as an unaligned trafficking platform.
I tightened my grip around the steering controls.

“Maintain the silent slipstream, I ordered, my voice lowering into the deep, controlled tone that made equipment around me react with static interference. “Not a single vessel in our crescent shows a live frequency. If the northern councils detect our position, they will attempt to create a legal blockade before we can finish this.”
“The naval net remains invisible, Alpha. Flynn’s units are holding exactly five hundred meters behind the flagship. Acoustic systems are locked on the rudder assembly.”
A slow breath left my lungs.
The Leviathan leaned into another turn, its massive frame shifting through the waves like it owned the
ocean.
Natalie had been right.
If I had taken her back home, we would have only created another defensive position.
The syndicate would have vanished into the dark water, sent stronger vessels after our children, and forced us to keep reacting.
They would have hunted Sean and Susie.
They would have pushed until our family was cornered.
But Natalie had changed the game.
“Alpha.”
Flynn’s voice cut through the cabin.
I looked toward the lower companionway.
He stood there with his rifle partially dismantled, cleaning salt residue from the firing mechanisms with the same cold focus he carried into every battle.
His grey eyes were sharp beneath the red emergency lighting.
“The lower box is overheating.”
I didn’t move my eyes from the radar.

“Renee initiated another foreclosure sequence.”
A cruel edge entered his voice.

“She pulled the remaining agricultural holdings and commercial leases connected to Nightfang. The dynasty’s power structure is collapsing faster than predicted.”
He glanced toward the iron security box secured to the floor.
“The feedback from the asset liquidation tokens is transferring directly into Jensen’s tracking device.”
A scream ripped through the lower cabin before he even finished speaking.
The sound came from inside the iron box.
A desperate, broken sound.
Nothing like the arrogant southern prince who had walked into our territory believing he was untouchable.
Jensen was gone.
Only fear remained.
“Baron!”
His voice cracked through the ventilation gaps.
“Make it stop!”
The metal walls shook as he moved inside, his panic making the entire box tremble.
I slowly removed my hands from the controls.
The interceptor continued forward on automatic tracking.
Then I walked toward him.
I moved into the lower companionway, the dim red lights stretching my shadow across the floor as 1 approached the iron security box.
His breathing became more frantic with every second.
I stopped directly above the container.
A weak hit came from inside the box.
“Baron, please…”
The desperation in his voice would have convinced anyone who didn’t understand the kind of person standing in front of him.

But I did.
For a moment, the only sound was the violent movement of the ocean against the hull.
“You are asking me to save you?”
I lowered my head slightly.
“After everything you helped create?”
A broken sound escaped him.
“I can give you the council names,” he rushed out. “The buyers. The contracts. Everything. I can give you access to the private vaults.”
I remained silent.
The silence frightened him more than my anger.
“Please, Baron.”
His voice cracked.
“I don’t want to die.”
I stared down at the iron box.
“You are not dying.”
A shaky breath came through the vents.
“You are staying alive long enough to watch everything you thought protected you disappear.”
The words settled heavily between us.
