Chapter 213
Evelyn
When we arrived at Sterling Mansion, the scene made my heart clench. Several police cars were parked out front, and Ryan was surrounded by officers in the living room. The standoff was tense, with both sides engaged in some kind of negotiation.
“What’s the situation now?” I hurried toward the officer in charge.
“Ms. Gray, he won’t confess to breaking into your study and stealing your private property.”
I looked at Ryan, whose face had gone pale. His eyes flickered with panic, darting between me and Devon.
“Ryan, standing here like this, Lydia will find out eventually,” I deliberately mentioned Lydia, watching for his reaction.
‘She won’t be back anytime soon,” Ryan answered reflexively. “She went to her hometown today.”
I narrowed my eyes. “So you specifically acted when Lydia was away?”
Ryan realized his slip–up, shaking his head frantically. “No! I was just… just helping organize…”
“Stop lying,” Devon stepped beside me, his voice cold. “The surveillance footage tells us everything.”
‘Surveillance? But I installed those cameras myself. How could you possibly-” Ryan’s eyes widened. “Did you put cameras in your study
too?”
Just as the words left his mouth, Ryan’s face suddenly contorted. He began coughing violently, then foaming at the mouth as his body
swayed dangerously.
“Ryan!” I rushed forward to catch him as he collapsed, his body trembling against mine.
“Call an ambulance!” Devon shouted.
The paramedics arrived quickly. As they loaded Ryan onto a stretcher, I noticed black vein–like patterns spreading across his skin. My stomach dropped at the sight.
“This is wolf–spirit separation,” I whispered to Devon. “Someone injected him with wolf–spirit toxin. It’s far worse than silver poisoning–it completely separates a werewolf’s human side from their wolf side, eventually killing them as the wolf spirit dissipates.”
On our way to the hospital, my phone rang. It was Jason.
“Evelyn, I’ve found some crucial information,” Jason’s voice was grave. “Both of Ryan’s sons might be involved in this. And his second son’s wife is likely a spy from a foreign wolf pack.”

Evelyn? What brings you here??
*Felix, I need Nocturna Extract, I said bluntly,
His expression immediately turned guarded. “Nocturna Extract? There are only two doses jeft. Dr. Bennett specifically seld no one could have it?
“This is an emergency, I explained. “Someone’s been poisoned with wolf spirit toxin and is experiencing spirit separation. Only Nocturna Extract can stabilize his wolf spirit?
Felix’s face grew serious, “Wolf–spirit separation? That’s fatall

Felix froze. “What did you say? White wolf blood extract?”
“Yes,” I nodded. “My blood has special healing properties that can significantly enhance the herbs effects–even reconnect separated wolf
spirits.”
After considering for a moment, Felix sighed, ‘You’re a real heartbreaker. He paused, “But I trust you, Wolf–spirit separation can’t wait,”
He retrieved a small vial of silvery liquid from the safe and handed it to me,
In the hospital room, I carefully administered the Nocturna Extract into Ryan’s mouth. Devon stood nearby, anxiously observing Ryan’s reaction. Ryan’s condition had deteriorated rapidly–black veins now covered most of his skin, and his breathing was barely perceptible,
“Will this actually work?‘ Devon asked. ‘I’ve heard wolf–spirit separation is practically irreversible.”
“Trust me,” I held Ryan’s hand, feeling his pulse almost disappear as 1 mixed a drop of my own blood into the remaining herb,
Five minutes later, a miracle happened. The black veins on Ryan’s skin began to recede, color returned to his face, and his breathing stabilized. His wolf spirit rejoined with his human side, and his body began healing itself.
“That’s incredible, Devon whispered in awe. “I’ve never seen anyone recover from wolf–spirit separation.”
Ryan slowly opened his eyes, looking weakly at us.
