Rising From Betrayal Reborn As The Family Outcast (Alicia Delaney) novel Chapter 161

Chapter 161

Chapter 161

Collin happened to be at the hospital today.

After a moment’s thought, he got up and walked over to the patient’s room.

By now, Leo had finished his checkup. His blood pressure, cholesterol, and heart rate were all elevated, so he was admitted for observation.

When Collin arrived, the other two Hammond brothers were already there.

Nicole had fallen ill and been hospitalized the day after her birthday party, and Mavis was still by her side.

The Hammond brothers hadn’t told either of them.

After reading Leo’s test results, Collin said, Uncle Leo, you really need to watch your temper from now on.

Leo replied. It’s not like I want to get angry, but Ally’s out there calling that bastard her dad and always picking fights with me on purpose. I just can’t hold it in.

Just bringing it up pissed him off again, and the more he dwelled on it, the madder he got.

Collin didn’t know what to say to that.

So he switched topics. Is Ally really about to sell that six percent stake she owns in Hammond Group?

Leo blinked in surprise, then asked, How do you know about that?

No one had brought it up before.

Collin replied honestly, I saw it on Patrick’s feed.

Leo frowned, looking puzzled. How’d he find out?

Then a sense of dread hit him. Show me.

Collin realized he’d just made a dumb move.

Judging by Leo’s reaction, he clearly didn’t know about this. If he saw the video from Patrick’s feed, he’d probably lose his temper all over again.

Collin hesitated, feeling awkward. Uh, well

Seeing Collin’s hesitation, Leo’s tone grew even more insistent. Show it to me.

Reluctantly, Collin pulled up Patrick’s feed and handed over his phone.

Leo tapped on the video. It started with him and Kevin going to find Alicia, only to get called out by her for being rude.

The whole thing was recorded, right up to Kevin helping him out of the restaurant at the end.

After watching the video, Leo’s face turned even darker. Patrick actually recorded the whole thing and posted it online? What the hell is he trying to do?Leo muttered, clearly pissed.

Just great. Once this video gets around, I’m going to be the butt of everyone’s jokes.

Chapter 161

And now, even more people will be scrambling to get their hands on that six percent stake in Hammond Group, Leo realized, his mood sinking further.

He glanced at the comments under Patrick’s post. Everyone was saying stuff like, This drama is insane!

Even the younger crowd were dropping likes and comments, calling Alicia straightup savage and totally boss.

Seriously, what’s wrong with these people? They’re always hungry for the Hammond family’s drama.

Alicia nearly made her own dad faint, and all these kids are applauding her for it? Has the world gone mad?Leo wondered, shaking his head.

Collin said, That’s just how he ishe loves watching the spectacle.”

Leo took a deep breath. I need to have a word with his dad. That kid is really out of line.

I need to call Patrick’s dad right now and get him to make Patrick delete that post, Leo thought, feeling a surge of urgency.

He went ahead and called up Patrick’s dad.

Meanwhile, Patrick’s dad Peter couldn’t help but curse his eldest son under his breath. Seriously, is he out of his mind? Always meddling in things and now he’s gone and pissed off Leo Hammond?

When he picked up Leo’s call, he apologized right away and promised to make Patrick delete the post.

After hanging up, he tried calling Patrick, but the phone was off.

He knew right away that Patrick was doing this on purpose.

He was so pissed he couldn’t stop cursing Patrick out, swearing at him again and again.

But with Patrick nowhere to be found, he was left completely helpless.

At the hospital, Collin thought for a moment and said, Since Alicia’s planning to sell her shares, maybe the Hammond family or I should just buy them ourselves?

Leo nodded, seeing the logic. If we can get her to sell, that’d be ideal.

But I’m worried that stubborn girl won’t sell to us,” he grumbled.

He could tellAlicia was deliberately going against them now.

Collin said, She’s always cared about people. If she’s set on selling, it doesn’t really matter who buys, right? Why don’t we just offer her a price she’d be willing to accept?

Leo thought it over. Alright, let’s give it a shot.”
