Back then, the Delaney Group and Nicole’s agent were still working out the endorsement deal behind closed doors, so Alicia was totally in the dark about it.
But when the official announcement dropped and Nicole was named the face of the brand, it made Alicia sick–and that’s when she finally snapped and went off on Collin.
Alicia had always known Collin was self–centered. His so–called affection for Nicole was nothing like Maxwell’s–there was nothing genuine about it.
Most of it was because of her ex–father.
But that just made her even less interested in having anything to do with him.
After all, the only reason Collin managed to hold onto the CEO position and the Delaney Group stayed steady was all thanks to her mom. Her ex–father had nothing to do with it.
Collin was stunned–he hadn’t expected Alicia to be in the loop about the endorsement.
It finally clicked for him why she was so icy and distant toward him.
He tried to explain, “It was Kevin and the others who made the Delaney Group pick Nicole for the endorsement.
“I didn’t really think much of it at the time, so I just went along with it.
“The deal isn’t finalized yet. If you really have an issue with it, we can work something out.”
He added, giving her a meaningful look, “If you want it, the Delaney Group can make you the face of the brand instead.”
‘If she helps me get in touch with Dr. Lowell, the endorsement could easily go to her.
As for whether Nicole would make a scene or not, let Kevin and his brothers handle it.
‘After all, compared to the future of the company, Nicole doesn’t even matter. Collin thought.
Alicia snorted. “Isn’t it funny you never thought of making me the brand ambassador before? And now I’m actually a celebrity.
“Now you need a favor, and suddenly I’m on your radar?
“Do you really think I’m desperate for that endorsement?
“I’m just mad on my mom’s behalf.
“If you didn’t keep bringing up my mom, I wouldn’t even bother messing with the Delaney Group.”
She suddenly switched her tone. “But you know what? I’ve changed my mind.
“I’m pretty sure the Delaney Group’s competitors would love to get their hands on the fragrance formulas I have.
“I’m sure my mom wouldn’t hold it against me.
Seriously, you people are just so disgusting”

Chapter 166
Collin hadn’t expected that coming to Alicia for help would backfire—she wasn’t just refusing, she was actually turning against the Delaney Group.
He looked at her in disbelief. “Are you really not going to cut me any slack?”
Alicia raised an eyebrow. “Why should I? What reason do I have to go easy on you guys?
“When you made Nicole the face of the Delaney Group’s perfume line, did you ever think about how my mom or I would feel?
“You never showed me any mercy, so why should I care about you now?”
Collin was left speechless. “We really didn’t think you’d get so mad or make such a big deal out of it.
“You…”
But before he could finish, Alicia cut him off. “You never gave a damn about me, so what makes you help now?
“Mr. Delaney, don’t ever come bothering me again. I’m so done with you people,” Alicia said flatly.
Then she shut the door right in his face, not interested in wasting another word on him.
Collin barely managed to dodge the door as it slammed shut, instinctively stepping back.

He just stood there, watching as Alicia closed the door with icy indifference, a mix of anger and a strange, hollow confusion swirling inside him.
