Chapter 197
Chapter 197
After landing at the airport, everyone piled into the cars arranged by the production team.
Each team got their own SUV.
Once they were in the car, Landon warned Alicia and Jason to keep an eye on Nicolas.
Alicia and Jason were both well aware of what was going on.
Jason in particular, had always known just how petty Nicolas could be.
Nicolas always got possessive whenever a guy showed up around Alicia, and he’d try to mess things up on the sly.
Jason wasn’t worried about Nicolas pulling any stunts-he always kept his guard up.
Four hours later.
By about three in the afternoon, everyone finally made it to Greenpeak Village.
This time, the production team had a rule: no assistants allowed. Everyone had to handle everything themselves.
So Alicia didn’t bring Sherry along.
Instead, she asked Sherry to look into something for her.
Once they arrived, Jason split off from Alicia and the others.
He hung out with the production team, watching their livestream.
Soon, the livestream kicked off.
The host popped up on screen first. “Hey everyone, we’re back! We’ve arrived at Greenpeak Village.”
She had the guests wave and say hi to the viewers.
Then the host got straight to the point. “Thanks for all your support, everyone! And thanks for joining in on our official X activities.
“The production team has already picked out some of your suggestions.
“Alright, let’s have each team draw one now.”
There were no TVs or big screens around.
So the production team just brought out a laptop.
The host turned to Nicole and Jett. “Team 1, Ms. Hammond or Mr. Kingsley, which one of you wants to do the honors.
Jett smiled and motioned to Nicole. “Nicole, you go ahead.”
Nicole didn’t hesitate. She smiled and said. “Alright, I’ll give it a shot.
She walked up, skimmed through the rolling suggestions, and paused it with a tap

In no time, the suggestion she landed on showed up on the laptop screen.
The camera zoomed in, and the host read it out loud. “Once the guests arrive in Greenpeak Village, they’ll have to fend for themselves.
“The production team won’t be handing out any food-everyone’s got to figure out their own meals.”
All the guests just stared, completely speechless.
Nicole really managed to pick a doozy.
But Nicole was actually thrilled she’d landed this suggestion.
After all, her real dad wasn’t fond of her at all, so she’d been doing chores since she was little.
Even after she moved in with the Hammonds and started living in luxury, her mom was the kind who always took care of things herself, still personally cooking for her husband and the others in the family.
Nicole was no different-she’d often cook for her stepdad, her stepbrother, and a few others.
The best part was, Alicia wasn’t exactly a whiz in the kitchen, so this would make for a pretty interesting comparison.
But on the outside, she put on a look of surprise and helplessness. “Oh, how did I end up with this one?”
She glanced at the other guests and asked, “Can any of you cook?”
She added, “I can cook, though. Since I picked this suggestion, I’ll take the lead on making meals.”
Alicia and Nicole had already had a public falling out, so Alicia just kept quiet.
But she could see the excitement flickering in Nicole’s eyes.
She could totally tell Nicole was trying to show everyone up by comparing herself to Alicia.
But it looked like Nicole’s plan was about to backfire.
Alicia might not be much of a cook, but this wasn’t the Hammond household anymore.
Back at home with the Hammonds, whenever Nicole cooked, the servants had already washed and prepped all the ingredients for her.
Hunting down your own food was a whole different story, and the selection of seasonings here was nothing like what she had at home.
After being pampered for so many years, Alicia was curious to see how Nicole would actually handle things now.
Landon was firmly on Alicia’s side and had always been put off by Nicole, so he just kept quiet.
Nicolas just kept quiet, trying to stay out of it.
