Chapter 201
A moment later, the woman helped out an elderly woman who was still coughing into her hand
Once they were seated.
Alicia glanced at the old woman’s complexion, then walked over.
She reached out and used a unique massage technique, sliding her fingers up and down the old woman’s back pressing on several specific points.
All eyes-whether it was the woman, the other three guests, the production crew, or the villagers who’d come to watch- were fixed on Alicia.
What really made everyone’s jaws drop was what happened next.
As Alicia worked her magic, the old woman’s coughing got less and less intense.
n just a couple of minutes, her coughing was gone.
She
was
the one who felt it the most-every time Alicia pressed on her back, it was just so comfortable.
Once she caught her breath, she looked at Alicia and said, “Wow, you’re incredible, girl! Just a few presses and my cough s
one!
Can you take a look and tell me what illness I actually have?”
Earlier, her daughter-in-law mentioned there was a celebrity doctor in town and wanted her to come check it out
she hadn’t really taken it seriously. She’d already been to the hospital and nothing helped, so she doubted some young girl could do any better.
still, since her daughter-in-law brought her over, she decided to come out anyway.
But after Alicia’s treatment, she couldn’t help but start to hope again.
Her cough had been going on for a month or two, and it had really worn her out.
And it just kept getting worse.
Alicia smiled and asked, “Does your cough get better when you’re not at home?”
The old woman thought for a moment. “You know, it really does. When I was at the hospital, my cough was a lot lighter
‘We all thought it was the IV and the medicine that helped.
“But after I came back, it got even worse.
“Can you tell what illness I have?”
Alicia replied, “I have a pretty good idea what’s going on, but let me check your pulse to be sure.”
The old woman immediately held out her hand to Alicia. “Okay.”
Alicia checked her pulse and confirmed her earlier diagnosis.

Alicia said. Your cough is actually caused by an allergy Mind if I check out your room”
The old woman stared at her, surprised. “An allergy? Really?”
That answer surprised everyone-not just her, but the others as well.
She nodded again. “Of course, let’s go.”
She stood up and led Alicia to her bedroom.
With her permission, the camera crew followed them into her bedroom.
The bedroom was pretty big and neat.
Alicia walked over and glanced around.
she pointed at the potted plant sitting on the table right next to the bed: “This is the reason you’ve been coughing all this ime.
From your pulse, I can tell your cough has lasted for more than a month.
Think about it-did your cough start soon after you brought this plant home?
And when you leave your bedroom or the house, your cough eases up, right?”
The old woman thought for a moment. “Now that you mention it, that’s true.
My husband dug it up from the mountains a little over a month ago.
And honestly, after we put it in the bedroom for a few days, I started coughing a little, and it just kept getting worse.”
No wonder I didn’t cough as much when I was at the hospital,’ the old woman thought.
She asked, “So if I just toss out this evergreen, will my cough really stop?”
Alicia replied, “Your allergy’s pretty serious right now, so just staying away from the plant won’t stop the cough right away.
I pressed a few specific points on your back, so you shouldn’t be coughing much today.
I’ll write you a prescription. Have your family go to the traditional medicine shop and get three packets of herbal medicine oday.
Brew one packet each day, and take the medicine three times-morning, noon, and night.
“You’ll be all better in three days.”
The old woman now trusted Alicia completely. “Alright, thank you so much, girl.”
The woman was honestly shocked-she never expected Alicia to actually pinpoint the real cause of her mother-in-law’s
illness.
Thinking it over, she realized the cough really did start after her father-in-law dug up those plants and brought them home.
She quickly went to grab some paper and a pen.
