Austin agreed. “Yeah, it’s time those two got a taste of their own medicine.”
He turned to Kevin. “Does Dad know about what’s happening online?”
Kevin replied, “I heard the major shareholder went to talk to him, so he definitely knows by
now.
“Not sure how he’s feeling about it now though.
“From what Mavis wrote in her diary, looks like she and Dad had something going on for a while.
“She said Dad cared about her and secretly helped her a lot.”
He took a deep breath. “Plus, since Nicole isn’t even Mavis’s ex-husband’s kid, Dad might’ve really betrayed Mom.”
Caleb was seething at his dad. “Who would’ve thought Dad was just a total phony?
“That’s why I say, let him spend the rest of his days with Mavis and Nicole.”
Kevin snorted, “Mavis and Nicole would probably be so happy they’d set off fireworks.”
Austin nodded, “Actually, Caleb’s right.
“If Dad really did Mom dirty, and kept drilling into us that we had to take care of Nicole, the poor little sister-

“Let those three live their own lives together.
“But they’re not getting a dime from the Hammond Group or the family.”

Always going on about how they should treat Mavis and Nicole like family, saying Nicole was so pathetic as a kid and they had to look out for her like she was their own sister.
Dad kept saying it over and over, so eventually they just started treating her like their own sister.
Caleb was taken aback. “There’s no way Dad would ever let go of the Hammond Group or the family fortune.
“You can tell how much Dad values the Hammond Group-he’s still holding onto all the

power, hasn’t even let Kevin take charge yet.”
Austin chuckled. “Did you guys forget? Dad signed a prenup when he married Mom.”
Caleb hadn’t even thought about that before.
Caleb’s eyes lit up. “That’s right! The prenup is ironclad-if Dad cheats or has a kid outside the marriage, he’s out with absolutely nothing.
“And he broke both rules.”
As much as they resented their dad, they couldn’t deny they still had feelings for him.
