Rising From Betrayal Reborn As The Family Outcast (Alicia Delaney) novel Chapter 275

275 Chapter 275

275.Chapter 275

The next day.

Leo returned to the office, where the lawyer had already drafted the divorce agreement

Kevin knocked and entered.

Leo handed the divorce agreement to his eldest son. “Take a look.”

Kevin took the papers and read through them, a little shocked.

He hadn’t expected his father to be so ruthless-Mavis and her daughter didn’t get a single thing.

He’d even promised them shares and property before.

Still, this was definitely a win for them.

Kevin just smiled, kept quiet, and handed the papers back.

Then he switched gears. “Dad, did Grandpa ever have an illegitimate child?”

Leo blinked in surprise. “Why are you asking about that all of a sudden?”

Kevin didn’t hide anything. “Ally asked me to. She said it’s really important.”

Leo frowned. “If she has something to ask, she could just come to me directly, couldn’t she?

“After all this drama, is she seriously not planning to come home?”

He’d always figured Alicia would come back once she’d cooled off.

This is her home, after all.

He’d tried reaching out to her these past few days, but she hasn’t answered.

He even had people send her gifts a few times, but she turned them all away.

Kevin gave an awkward smile. “Honestly, I can’t say for sure.”

He wanted Alicia to come back, but with the way she was acting toward them now, it didn’t seem likely.

He pressed again, “So, did Grandpa really have an illegitimate son?”

Leo nodded, “Yeah, there was one.

“Back then, your grandpa had a few mistresses. One of them got pregnant without telling him.

“She only told him after the baby was born.

“Even while he was supporting those women, your grandpa always said he’d never accept any illegitimate kids.

“So he completely disowned that son and cut off all support for the woman.

“Later, I heard she gave the child away, and your grandpa didn’t care at all.

“If you hadn’t brought it up, I probably wouldn’t have even remembered.”

He thought for a moment, then asked, “Did that illegitimate son reach out to Ally?”

He’d never paid any attention to that illegitimate son.

But if that illegitimate son tried to contact his daughter, he’d have to step in.

Kevin replied, “Honestly, I’m not sure about the specifics. Ally just wanted me to ask if Grandpa ever had an illegitimate son,

that’s all.”

Leo sighed, “Your sister’s way too stubborn.”

Leo got the message right away-his own illegitimate younger brother must really be out there now.

He was worried that the illegitimate son might have tracked down Alicia and was probably trying to mess with her head.

He hadn’t shown up all these years, so if he was suddenly making an appearance now, he probably wasn’t up to any good.

He handed over the hair and decided to have someone dig into the illegitimate son’s background.

Later that evening, Leo came home with the divorce papers in hand.

When Mavis saw him walk in, she hurried over with a smile. “Honey, you’re back.

“I cooked up a whole table of your favorite dishes. Go wash up, and let’s have dinner.”

Leo looked at her the way he always did. “I already ate out, so I’m not hungry.”

He didn’t want to drag things out. “I brought the divorce papers. Do you want to sign them now, or after dinner?”

Mavis froze for a second. “Are you really going to be this heartless?”

Leo replied calmly, “You crossed my bottom line. I can’t tolerate this.

“Go ahead and sign.”

He started to walk inside, but Mavis reached out and grabbed his arm.

Her eyes were red as she pleaded, “Let’s have dinner together. I made it just for you. Let’s at least part ways peacefully.”
