“But instead, your ex-dad swooped in and took advantage of the whole mess.

“He wasn’t chasing after your mom as himself-he was using a fake identity, posing as the son or nephew of one of your grandpa’s old friends.

“He kept it all super low-key, and your mom just totally ignored him-she was cold, distant, never gave him a chance. So lan and your ex-dad didn’t even notice he was around.”

Alicia blinked in shock. “Seriously? That actually happened?

“Bet he wasn’t even into my mom for real, huh?”
