“What is Mr. Stewart’s intention in sending these?” Arabella asked, keeping her voice low.

Seeing Marla examine the pieces, Andy assumed she was pleased. “Mr. Stewart is simply interested in making your acquaintance.”

“I don’t believe that’s necessary. Please take them back,” Arabella declined once more.

“There’s no need to decide immediately. This is Mr. Stewart’s card. The pieces are yours to keep. I won’t disturb you further.” With that, Andy withdrew with his team.

Arabella picked up Matthew’s business card. Why was he so interested in Marla? Had she slipped up somehow?

Or was it her investment track record that had drawn his attention.

Her gaze returned to the artworks.

A faint, almost imperceptible smile touched her lips.

“Since Matthew is offering so sincerely, I suppose I’ll have to accept graciously.”

As for whether to meet him–that would require further thought.

She took out her phone and called Colton. “Come pick me up. Now.”

“Finished already? How many treasures did you land?” Colton asked eagerly.

“You’ll see when you get here,” Arabella said, ending the call.

“Mr. Stewart, the pieces have been delivered, and I left your card as instructed,” Andy reported to Matthew.

“Good. Let’s go.” Matthew stood and headed out.

Leaving the suite, he glanced almost unconsciously toward Suite Seven before departing.

A short while later, Colton hurried in. He pushed open the door to Suite Seven and stepped inside.

“Let’s see what you scored,” he said with a grin.

Arabella tilted her head toward the items behind her.

“Whoa–you bought all these?” Colton’s eyes gleamed as he took in the Lucky Motif Blue- White Vase.

“No. They were sent by Matthew,” Arabella told him plainly.

Hearing that, Colton nearly dropped the vase. He stared at Arabella in disbelief. “Sent by Matthew?! What’s going on?”

Matthew was the CEO of Horizon Corp–the same Stewart whose grandfather had hired Aletta recently.

To think they’d crossed paths again here at Hilde’s, and now he was sending her high–value artworks…

“That’s what I’m asking you. Why was Matthew here? How did he know Marla was in Suite Seven?” Arabella fixed Colton with a sharp look.

After all, he was the one who had booked the suite for her. As far as she could figure, no one else could have known her whereabouts.

Colton looked genuinely wronged. “I’m not lying to you—I really don’t know!”

He never expected someone of Matthew’s stature to be at Hilde’s today.

“I swear–I absolutely did not give you away,” Colton insisted, raising his hand as if taking an oath.

He was even more curious than she was about how Matthew had identified Marla’s presence.

“Then what’s your theory?” Arabella watched him expectantly.

Colton frowned in thought.

“Maybe Matthew being here was just coincidence. But sending you these pieces… that’s clearly

an overture.”

“By the way, if these are from Matthew, where are the ones you bought?” Colton scanned the room but saw no other items.

The reminder irritated Arabella all over again.

“These were the pieces I wanted. But every time I bid on something, Matthew outbid me. He ended up with everything. I got nothing,” Arabella said, spreading her hands in frustration as she looked at Matthew’s gifts.

“Matthew outbid you? How could that be? Maybe it was just… parallel taste. A coincidence,” Colton offered, unwilling to jump to conclusions.

“Why are you making excuses for him? Don’t tell me you’ve taken some backdoor favor from Matthew,” Arabella said, her eyes narrowing suspiciously,

“Don’t accuse me! I’ve never even met the man. I’m just speculating,” Colton defended quickly.

“But based on what you’ve said, Matthew’s behavior is suspicious. Does he already know you’re Marla?” Colton’s eyes widened at the possibility.

“Probably not. From Andy’s demeanor, they know the suite belongs to Marla, but they don’t know who I really am. Thankfully, I was covered up–they never saw my face.”

Colton let out a relieved breath. “Good, good.”

“Still, he clearly wants to connect,” Arabella said, holding up the business card Andy had left.

Colton took the card, his eyes lighting up. “Matthew doesn’t hand these out lightly. It’s safe to say he’s genuinely interested in meeting you.

“Maybe he’s impressed by your investment history and wants to bring you into his orbit. Why else send such expensive pieces?” Colton mused, his expression thoughtful.
