Saintess's Worthless Husband Turned Dragon Commander novel Chapter 70

CHAPTER 70

By evening, the boardroom incident had exploded across Grayson City like wildfire.

Social media buzzed with footage from phones that had been recording-Marcus demolishing twelve bodyguards, Quamaine Potter’s broken leg, Oliver Hartford’s bloodied face.

The viral video from Ocean Park had been eclipsed by something far more scandalous.

SACRED SAINTESS’S HUSBAND BRUTALIZES POTTER HEIR IN CORPORATE BOARDROOM

The headlines screamed from every news outlet. Photos of Quinn-beautiful, cold, divine-juxtaposed with images of Marcus’s violence. Commentary ranged from shock to outrage to morbid fascination.

“How could someone of her sacred standing marry such a violent criminal?”

“The Hartford wedding three years ago-everyone thought she’d made a mistake. Now we know for certain.”

“Sacred Saintesses are supposed to represent divine virtue. This is a disgrace to her bloodline.”

In a penthouse apartment overlooking Grayson City’s financial district, Damien Potter watched the news coverage with barely controlled fury. His son Quamaine sat beside him, his leg in a cast, his face still showing bruises.

“Two times,” Damien said, his voice dangerously quiet. “Two times this Marcus Steel has humiliated my son. Made him bark like a dog. Broke his leg in public. In front of witnesses.”

“Father, I’m sorry-” Quamaine started.

“SHUT UP!” Damien’s roar made his son flinch. “You were supposed to handle this quietly! Instead, you walked into a boardroom with twelve guards and still got destroyed!”

He pulled out his phone, dialing rapidly. “Activate our Golden Eagle contacts. Every supplier, every partner, every investor who works with Hartford Group-pressure them. Cancel contracts. Spread rumors. Tank their stock price. I want Hartford Group bleeding money by tomorrow morning.”

“Sir,” his assistant ventured carefully, “the Titan Group contract protects Hartford from-”

“I don’t care about Titan Group!” Damien snapped. “Market psychology isn’t about contracts! It’s about perception! If everyone thinks Hartford is doomed, their value drops regardless of what protections they have!”

He ended the call, his eyes returning to the news coverage. “Marcus Steel. A nobody. A street thug. And he thinks he can attack my family without consequences.”

Across the city, in a luxury hotel suite, Jaxon Brand paced like a caged animal. Cash Lawson sat on the couch, his expression thoughtful despite his employer’s agitation.

“Gerrard Cooper failed,” Jaxon snarled. “The Three Blade Group failed! Noah Miller-supposedly invincible-got destroyed! And Marcus Steel is STILL walking around like he owns the city!”

“The man’s more dangerous than we anticipated,” Cash observed calmly. “Superhuman reflexes. Strength beyond normal cultivation. He’s not a regular target.”

“I don’t CARE what he is!” Jaxon threw a glass against the wall, shattering it. “He made me kneel! Made me BARK! In front of everyone! My reputation is destroyed! My father threatens to disown me! And it’s all because of that BASTARD!”

Cash pulled out his phone, showing Jaxon a photo. “Then we don’t target him directly. We target what he values

most.”
