Chapter 144
Scarlett’s POV
My heat surged back stronger than ever, consuming me, and Keith didn’t hesitate. With a firm yet tender grip, he guided me onto my hands and knees, driving himself into me from behind, filling me with an intensity that matched the fire inside me.
His movements were fast, relentless, pouring his devotion and passion into every thrust. He was doing everything he could to satisfy me, to meet my needs, and I could feel the desperation within me, the hope that our bond would somehow solidify through this connection. I didn’t want to lose something this beautiful, this rare. Keith was everything I’d ever wanted and more.
My past mates had only brought me pain, making me question my worth, my beauty, my very heritage. Lucian, with his constant coldness, had made me feel ugly and unwanted, while the others had shown me time and again that they valued outsiders’ words over mine. Not once had they tried to make our bond work, not unless it served their own interests. My happiness, my wellbeing-it had always come last.
But with Keith, it was different. He saw me, truly saw me, and he loved me with a warmth that felt as steady as the earth beneath us. He accepted all of me, even the flaws I sometimes struggled to accept myself. I couldn’t imagine leaving him; I wouldn’t leave him. This was where I belonged.
The day drifted by in waves of passion, a blur of tangled sheets and breathless gasps. It wasn’t just love; it was something raw, something primal that called to my wolf and my soul. Keith kept up with me, our energy feeding off each other’s, neither of us willing to let go or even slow down. Whenever my heat
he was there, ready, matching my hunger with his own. We showered, shared quiet moments, and then gave in again to that unrelenting need, a
neither of us seemed able or willing to resist.
I felt at home, truly at home, and thoughts of the future began to creep into my mind. Babies, a family, a life that was ours alone. This wasn’t a
oment; it was the rest I’d been searching for, the peace my heart had been aching for.
fell, we stepped out onto the balcony, the world silent and bathed in soft, silvery moonlight. The stars sparkled above us like tiny beacons, and we on the cane couch under a thick blanket, our bodies pressed close, skin to skin. Wrapped in his arms, I felt a sense of peace I hadn’t known was ble. I wanted to stay glued to him, to never let go, and he seemed to feel the same. His hand rested on mine, fingers intertwined, as we sank into the
iness together.
Keith’s voice was soft as he pointed out constellations, his descriptions filled with a boyish wonder that made me smile. He told stories about the stars, about legends he’d grown up with, and I found myself laughing, feeling light and free. He was funny, thoughtful, sensitive-all the things my past mates had never been. He was everything they weren’t, everything I hadn’t known I could have.
We drank hot chocolate together, savouring its warmth, and Keith even sent for chocolate ice cream, his eyes sparkling with mischief as he hinted at what he planned to do with it later. I felt a flush of excitement, wondering how it would feel, what it would be like to share that moment with kim. There was no rush, no pressure, just the simple pleasure of being in each other’s arms, of sharing something real.
