Second Marriage to Mr. Rich (Ned Fletcher) novel Chapter 248

Marion aggressively bit the arm of the middle-aged man and grabbed the opportunity to break free and run out.

Alva had just pushed aside the person beside her, but someone grabbed her wrist as soon as she stood up. At some point, Angeline rushed back in and grabbed Alva's other hand as she kicked the middle-aged man holding on to Alva so that she could drag her out.

Before the two of them could reach the door, the middle-aged man whom Marion had bitten grabbed an ashtray and brought it down to smash against Angeline's head.

"Angeline!"

Ned kicked aside the bodyguard obstructing his path and grabbed Angeline to protect her in his arms.

The ashtray smashed onto Ned's head, and his ears rang. His vision went black, and blood gushed out from his forehead.

Ned had been holding Angeline tightly. She turned and saw Ned's body go slack as he slumped to the ground and stopped moving. Angeline instinctively reached out to grab him, but the middle-aged man seemed livid. He raised the ashtray again and aimed for Angeline.

"Angeline! Be careful!" Marion screamed.

She managed to escape to the doorway but was pulled aside roughly.

Angeline looked up at the sound of Marion's scream. The bloodstained ashtray was only a few inches away from her when someone suddenly pulled her backward by the nape of her neck. She fell right into what felt like a warm wall.

A familiar scent enveloped her, and before she could react, she saw a hand wearing a steel wristwatch grab the hand of the middle-aged man holding the ashtray.

It turned out to be Sean.

Angeline looked up at Sean's cold, chiseled features. Her gaze quivered. He was indeed here.

"Angeline!"

Alva hurriedly pulled her to the doorway.

The waiters of the Night Palace burst in with the security team to take control.

Sean glanced at his hand, which had been injured and was dripping blood. He calmly shook off the bloodied shards of glass on his hand.

"Who has the nerve to make trouble at the Night Palace?" the head of the security team yelled.

The head of the security team stiffened when he felt Sean's cold, intense gaze on him. He said nothing to Sean as he gave instructions in a low voice for the troublemakers to be taken out.

Sean turned away, and there was a cold ferocity in his dark eyes. His gaze flicked to and away from Angeline.

Angeline felt an indescribable emotion inside her at seeing this aggressive version of Sean. She felt like it was the first time she had met him.

This was the first time she had seen Sean fight like this—as if he did not care whether the other party lived or died.
