Angeline sensed that Robert had already allowed Sean to leave Lawson Global and the Lawson family when he visited her that day.
She figured it probably wasn't what led to their argument, as Robert hadn't called her to ask anything else.
Moreover, Sean promised to give Angeline time to consider their relationship. So he would have waited to tell Robert about them before the agreed deadline.
Angeline pondered about other reasons Robert would've been angry at Sean.
She lay on the bed and read through the documents about the executive's family on her tablet before bed. However, her mind was a mess, so she tossed and turned, unable to fall asleep.
Sean was someone who kept his promise. He hadn't contacted Angeline since he instructed Sebastian to send her home that day.
Apart from Lenny and the other bodyguards there to change shifts, Angeline didn't even catch a single glimpse of Sean. It was as though he had disappeared from her life.
Angeline had been busy recently. Not only did she have to review the documents about Lawson Global and its various directors and executives, but she also had to prepare a speech.
Every day, Robert's assistant, Asher, would drop by with the company's documents to get Angeline's opinion. Then, he would bring them back to Robert so he could assess if she were ready to inherit Lawson Global.
Meanwhile, Ned had kept his promise to buy back the recipe to the confidential formula from the list of buyers Billy gave him, as ordered by Angeline. He also made the purchasers sign an NDA.
He had spent a fortune doing so, but it was substantially less than the liquidated damage he would've paid to Vitality Biotech Group.
"I can't believe it. That Ned sure is something! He took care of it in four days."
Danny felt slightly regretful.
"He also promised to pursue this matter with Yates Group. Boss, how about we let Fletcher Corporation go?"
"Why should we?"
Angeline read through the documents from Asher and said, "I forced him to repurchase the formula in just four days because I want to squeeze out every last drop of cash from his possession.
"But based on the list, he overlooked two names! He shouldn't have any money to pay Vitality Biotech Group now, so there's no choice but for him to declare bankruptcy."
