Kim gasped.
"I didn't kill Mr. Kingston. What else do you want me to say? Please, Shane! Let go of my family! I'm begging you!"
Sean wore a stoic expression and pushed Kim's head back into the pool.
Water splashed onto Sean's arm as Kim struggled. Brayden watched and walked toward Sean, then passed him a cigarette.
"Compared to this, I prefer using a golf club. Each blow is guaranteed to be bloody."
"I don't like blood," Sean said while still holding Kim's head underwater.
He took the cigarette from Brayden and held it between his fingers without lighting it. He lifted Kim and threw him on the floor when he stopped struggling again.
Kim gasped for air after coughing out a mouthful of water while curled up. He tried to kneel but fell back onto the slippery floor due to exhaustion.
"I-I know I'm not coming out of this alive, Shane."
Kim slowly crawled toward Sean once he caught his breath. He grabbed Sean's leg with shaking hands and looked up at him.
"Please believe me, Shane. I didn't kill Mr. Kingston. Please let go of my family.
"Don't you remember? You've eaten with my wife before. And you carried Marina in your arms when she was young. Didn't you always think of her as your sister?"
Kim was smart. He figured that since he knew Sean's real name was Shane, Sean wouldn't allow him to live to tell the truth.
After all, Sean was the head of a highly recognized international company. If his true identity were revealed as the son of Spencer Kingston, who once helped the police authority dismantle international criminal syndicates, enemies would come for him.
The criminal syndicate yearned for revenge so much so that only photos of police who died and didn't have any close relatives were allowed to be published.
