Angeline didn't change much from his memory of her. However, something had certainly shifted. She appeared more… ladylike.
"It's Ms. Angeline." Trevor looked at Ned, who was frozen on the spot. "Mr. Fletcher?"
Trevor was aware that Ned had regained his memories. Trevor, as the Chief Legal Officer of Fletcher Corporation, didn't dig into the details of the deep love between Ned and Angeline from their past, but he had heard about how Ned had forced Angeline to register their marriage on his birthday, and how she had risked her life to save him in a car accident.
He could imagine the depths of their affection. Moreover, as soon as Ned had regained his memories, he called off his engagement to his beloved Ingrid, which went to show his affection toward Angeline in the past.
Lenny exited the police station after Trevor and Ned, clutching a jacket in his hand. When he saw Celia with Angeline, he immediately knew that Celia must have called the latter for help.
The two women seemed to have sensed the presence of the three men. They shifted their gazes to the police station stairs.
Ned nearly stopped breathing when he fixed his eyes on Angeline. She casually raised her hand to gesture in their direction, reminding him of the time she gestured at him to get a drink during halftime of a school basketball game.
Ned couldn't help but take a step forward. Lenny hurried past him, jogged down the stairs, and stood in front of Celia and Angeline.
"Lenny, you gave me a good scare!" Celia ran over to Lenny and grabbed his arm.
Angeline asked him with concern, "Are you fine?"
"My apologies for the trouble, Ms. Emmerson. I explained everything to Mr. Fletcher—he apologized and settled with me in private after learning that I was your bodyguard. Celia had jumped the gun in calling you." Lenny appeared apologetic. "Sorry for the trouble!"
