Ned knew that he could never make it up to Angeline, even if he begged for her forgiveness.
He was at a loss for what to do to ensure Angeline's happiness.
He finally gathered the courage to turn around and look at her when he overheard her walking away.
"An—" His voice was fraught with emotions to the point he couldn't speak. When Angeline went over to her bodyguard, Ned finally had his emotions in control and called out loudly, "Angie, what can I do so you won't hate me?"
He sounded like he was about to cry.
Angeline paused when she opened the car door. She calmly turned around to look at him. "Never show up in my life again."
