Second Marriage to Mr. Rich (Ned Fletcher) novel Chapter 291

Ned's breathing was slightly erratic as he tightly gripped the wine glass. His nostrils flared slightly, and tears glistened in his eyes as if they would flow out at any moment.

Robert stood proudly and joyfully beside Angeline. After finishing his speech, he descended from the stage with Angeline's support and took his seat at the main table.

Sherryn's gaze followed Robert and Angeline intently. She was almost squeezing her own legs blue with anxiety.

Turning around, she asked Ned, "Is Angeline's child really not yours? I thought you had regained your memory. Haven't you remembered anything?"

Ned's heart ached when he heard her words. The thought that he had drugged Angeline and made her sleep with another man, resulting in pregnancy, filled him with a desire to die.

He tugged at his tie. "Weren't you the one who looked down on Angie for being from Emmerson Village? What now? Are you regretting making me divorce her after seeing her become Robert's adopted granddaughter?

"Robert's daughter is frail and single. This meant that half of the Lawson family's fortune would belong to Angie someday."

Sherryn's heart clenched at her son's retort. She had done it all for him, hadn't she?

She sneered. "Ned, it wasn't me who made you divorce Angeline. You two had an accident on the day you registered your marriage. It was you who kept pressuring her to divorce you after she woke up. I had nothing to do with it."

Ned felt a tightness in his chest.

Sherryn was right. He had insisted on divorcing Angeline.

He had forced her into marriage and divorce.

Ned struggled to contain his emotions. He closed his eyes tightly and clenched his fists for a moment before getting up and leaving the hall.

In this situation, Ned was too embarrassed to discuss collaboration with Sean.

He knew that the Stone family was the only one from Oceanford to receive an invitation. Robert had entrusted Asher with that task.

For some reason, despite Sean being much younger, Sherryn felt an overwhelming sense of oppression every time she faced him.

"I came with Zach." Sherryn stood in front of Sean, expressing her intentions directly. "You see, Angie has become Robert's granddaughter, and she grew up in our house.

"No matter how you put it, this outstanding lady is still related to our family. Fletcher Corporation is in a very difficult situation because of Vitality Biotech Group. I wonder if Lawson Global can help us out a bit for the sake of Angie."

Sean's expression remained indifferent, but his eyebrows raised slightly. With his hands in his pockets, he smiled insincerely.

"When Angie lived with the Fletcher family, all her expenses were borne by the Lawson family. Did Lawson Global not help Fletcher Corporation back then? If it weren't for Lawson Global, would Fletcher Corporation have its current scale?"
