"Alright!" Jamie replied.
Angeline smiled as she looked over the data on her computer screen. She wasn't familiar with Lara. So, she would observe her attitude first. Then, Angeline would decide whether to put on a show or be direct instead.
The rumors said that Robert had made Angeline vice president of Lawson Group to determine if she or Sean was more worthy of being his successor. While Sean was an impressive man, Angeline was able to build Vitality Biotech Group into the company that it was presently. It was no small feat to do so in just four years.
Angeline could use this rumor to her advantage during her meeting with Lara.
Lara arrived sooner than Angeline thought.
Lara didn't beat around the bush.
"I heard you've just acquired a piece of land from a small company. Please name your price! That land is… quite important to me."
Angeline feigned surprise before pulling out a document.
"This piece of land, you mean?"
Lara glanced at it and nodded.
"Yes, that's it. Name your price!"
"My apologies, Ms. Lara."
Angeline waved a sheaf of documents detailing Lawson Global's plans for developing that area. She smiled.
"I'm sure you're aware that Lawson Global is rushing to develop a new industrial area after their success with the microchip and lithography machine market. So—"
Lara cut her off before she could finish.
"Have you heard about Scott Incorporated's major project to develop Krontos' CBD?"
