Angeline's heartbeat quickened as the garage door rolled down.
"What's wrong?"
Sean's lips curved into a smile as he leaned in closer to her.
He reached out to tuck her hair behind her ears as he asked in a low voice, "When I asked you where you were going for lunch, I was asking you if you were going to eat nearby your office or if you were going to eat at home. What else could I have been asking?"
Angeline's face burst into flames as her breathing grew chaotic. She had to admit that her mind was in the gutter when Sean asked her earlier this afternoon. She had misunderstood him entirely then.
When he saw Angeline's flushed face, he instantly understood her thoughts. So, he reached out to pull her in for a kiss.
Robert had been standing outside with his cane in hand. He watched in shock as Sean kissed his granddaughter.
Asher's eyes widened with shock as well. Reflexively, he reached over to support Robert's weight.
"Sir."
At the sound of Asher's voice, Sean turned his head. His grip on Angeline's chin tightened.
Angeline also turned right before the door completely rolled down and blocked her sight. However, she only saw Robert and Asher's legs as they left.
When Angeline realized who she had seen, her blood froze in her veins. Her ominous feeling instantly came crashing down on her in full force.
"W-was that Mr. Lawson Senior?"
Angeline had been enjoying her time with Sean for so long that she had forgotten to be careful. She didn't feel brave enough to declare her relationship with him officially. She also hadn't figured out how to break the news to Robert.
At first, Angeline thought that she would come clean to Robert after Sean had left the Lawsons. She never expected Robert to run into them like this.
This would make Robert angrier than her being truthful from the start.
"Don't worry!"
