"Mr. Lawson Senior, perhaps you should first hear what they have to say!" Asher requested on Sean and Angeline's behalf.

"Let me ask you this..."

Robert looked at Sean.

"Is Angie one of the reasons you want to leave the Lawsons and Lawson Global? Apart from the reasons you gave me last time?"

"Yes."

Sean didn't hesitate.

Robert gripped his cane as he laughed.

"Wonderful, you two… Such a good stepson you are, and what a good granddaughter I have!"

Angeline paled when she saw Robert stumble backward with a hand to his chest. She and Asher immediately dashed over to hold him up.

"Granddad—"

Robert shook her hold off.

"Please, Mr. Lawson Senior, take a seat while I fetch your medicine."

Asher helped Robert into a chair before rushing upstairs to retrieve his medicine.

Robert's hand remained on his chest as he glared unblinkingly at Angeline before glaring at Sean.

"When did this start? How long have you been hiding this behind my back?"

"I first fell in love with Angie 15 years ago," Sean replied evenly.

"Back then, I paid people to watch over her. I helped her and even granted the Fletchers a few favors because I thought that if I showed myself before her, Angie would never return to live with the Lawsons!

Robert's mouth fell open. After a while, he finally closed it.

"After Angie woke up from her coma and Ned lost his memories, he began to do everything in his power to force Angie to divorce him. He drugged her, and that was when we conceived Yasmine and Xavier."

Robert shot up from his seat at that piece of information. He had always thought that Ned was Yasmine and Xavier's father. He never expected that his adopted son, Sean, fathered them instead.
