Second Marriage to Mr. Rich (Ned Fletcher) novel Chapter 360

Her lips, which were ruthlessly ravaged by Sean last night, stung.

Just as she opened her eyes, she was lifted and placed on the kitchen counter. Before he could kiss her again, Angeline quickly turned her head and leaned back with one hand supporting her body.

She questioned, "Why do you have so much energy? Aren't you tired? My lips hurt."

Sean wrapped his arms around her waist and pulled her closer, gently kissing her lips and replying, "Last night, we didn't finish our conversation. You said... you love me."

Angeline's ears turned red as she stared directly into his narrow eyes without his glasses.

The glasses were like a facade for him. With them on, he was the refined and indifferent Sean, but once he took them off, his eyes revealed a crazy greed for her, stimulating her heart to beat wildly when their eyes met.

"Yes, I love you, so I won't stop you from doing what you want," Angeline admitted frankly, finally bringing the conversation to the topic they both didn't want to approach last night.

"While you shed the identity of Sean Lawson and take on the persona of Shane Kingston to avenge your parents, the children and I will wait for your return."

She continued, "I think this is also why you insisted on me giving you an answer before Granddad's birthday banquet! You had already made up your mind...

"You're planning to leave the Lawson family because you don't want to burden them, including Granddad. You've also figured out our relationship and future. Because you may be away for some time, you must secure our relationship, right?"

Angeline was very smart. This had been on Sean's mind for a long time.

Indeed, he wouldn't ever give up the revenge for his parents, but he couldn't give up on Angeline either. So, he had to force her to give him an answer before Robert's birthday banquet.

Nonetheless, some things were beyond his control—such as his insane and uncontrollable greed for her.
