Ingrid couldn't understand how Angeline could be so cruel as to ruin Ned's life despite his wish to get back together with her.

"To Lawson Global!" Ingrid ordered the chauffeur with red eyes.

Angeline went through the contract with Lara and her team in the meeting room at Lawson Global.

"Your team is very efficient, Ms. Lara." Angeline smiled.

"Time is money! Of course, we have to do this quickly!" Lara replied. She smiled and asked, "So, Ms. Lawson, you mentioned you would choose a person from Scott Incorporated yourself to be in charge of connecting with Lawson Global. Have you made your decision?"

"I do. I would like Ms. Monica Scott to be in charge of it," Angeline answered politely.

Lara and her team turned their head toward Angeline, surprised by her answer.

Lara's team looked at each other in confusion and speechless.

They all knew Lara had taken the project from Monica. But now Ms. Angeline wanted Monica to be in charge of this project.

"Are you serious, Ms. Lawson?" Lara asked with a dulled expression.

"Of course. I'm the one who negotiated the deal, so I'm worried someone might cause trouble below the belt," Angeline said. "But Ms. Monica is Mr. Lawson's fiancee. If she's the one to connect with us, the responsibility will lie with Mr. Lawson if anything goes wrong.

"With that in mind, no one will dare to cause trouble!"

Lara was relieved. She felt justified by Angeline's reasoning.

"Please look out for me then when that time comes, Ms. Lawson!"

"Of course, Ms. Lara!" Angeline nodded.

After Lara left, the Lawson Global executives and secretariat celebrated with glee.

"Call Ms. Monica. Let her know what we've discussed earlier," Angeline told Jamie before knocking on the door to Sean's office and entering.

Jamie shouted happily, "Great job everyone! Afternoon tea is on Ms. Lawson today!"

Jamie felt confused. "She wants to meet Ms. Lawson, not Mr. Lawson?"
