Angeline sat on the couch with her legs crossed and hands resting on her knees. Although she was seated, she had a condescending look at Ingrid that made the latter feel humiliated.
"Love is a matter for two people. You should never be the only one contributing to it," Angeline advised. "I don't think I've ever wronged Ned in our relationship. Plus, regardless of how he treated me, I protected him with my life during the accident. So, Ned is the one who owes me for causing me to be in a vegetative state."
"But regardless, didn't you love Ned before? How could you be so ruthless to Ned and leave no space for him? Is all your love for each other a mirage? Are you truly this heartless, Angie?" Ingrid cried, tears streaming down her cheeks. "Please, Angie. I'm begging you. I'm returning Ned to you. Could you let him go?"
Ingrid tried to pay for her mistakes. Everything started because Tommy was addicted to gambling, which dragged Yates Group, then Fletcher Corporation, into this mess.
Nobody knew how guilty Ingrid felt. She loved Ned so much that she was willing to give up everything for Ned to keep Fletcher Corporation.
"Please, Angie. Please…" Ingrid broke down on the couch with her hands covering her face.
Nonetheless, Angeline continued staring at the hysterical Ingrid with a calm look and sighed.
"If you're here to talk about Norwalk Corporation or Lawson Global's entertainment group canceling the collaboration with you, and you want to negotiate a win-win path with me, perhaps I would look highly of you," Angeline said. "But I never expect you here to talk about Ned. Tell you something, Ms. Dalton. Humans, especially women, should never put love at the top of their minds.
"I was like you previously. Love should never be all of your life."
