“Not bad for a girl,” I heard a voice behind me.
I turned around to see Theo approaching me. He had scratches on his own body, but for the most part, he was barely injured. He had sweat along his bare chest and down his torso. He had a towel wrapped around his neck, collecting sweat.
He gave me a broad and dimpled smile; I’m sure he thought he sounded cute, but he was only sounding like a sexist pip
“What’s that supposed to mean?” I asked, folding my arms across my chest and glaring up at him.
He shrugged, leaning against the wall in front of me.
“I just mean that I’m surprised. You don’t look like much, but you have some fight in you,” he told me with a twinkle of humor in his eyes.
1 pressed my lips firmly together.
“Afraid you’re going to get beat by a girl?” I taunted.
He let out a low laugh.
“I’m not worried at all,” he told me. “I just hope you don’t hate me after I crush you.
1 rolled my eyes; he was seriously so full of himself.
“Good luck, Theo,” I murmured as I started to walk away from him.
He went to grab my arm, but I flinched away from him. If Gavin saw him touching me, he would kill Theo before I ever got the chance to beat him. He scowled at my sudden rejection and his lips pressed in a thin line as he narrowed his eyes.
“Don’t be so cocky,” he said, stepping closer to me. He was only inches away from me and I found myself holding my breath. He walked past me, brushing his arm against mine as he did so, leaving me standing there,
wdumbfounded.
I seriously needed to get out of here.
I walked away from the crowd, wanting some silence as I wandered towards the parking lot. I wasn’t sure where I was going; I had an hour to clear my head before the next match began and my head was pounding. I wrapped my arms around my body suddenly feeling cold. It wasn’t even cold outside, but my adrenaline was starting to come down and it was making me feel cold.
I let out a breath, closed my eyes, and attempted to calm my nerves. I felt a hand on my upper arm, and I turned to see Gavin standing by my side. His eyes were dark as they poured into mine. I stared at him like he was some kind of angel coming down to help me.
His eyes met mine for a brief moment before they returned to the scratches on my cheek.
“You should have protected your face,” he finally murmured after what felt like an eternity of silence.
“We can use our wolves in the next round,” I told him. “I’ll get her back for this.”
“Don’t make careless mistakes.”
I met his eyes and held eye contact for a long while.
“I think I’ve only made one careless mistake so far,” I told him, narrowing my eyes.
His eyes darkened as a snarl escaped his lips. The last thing I thought was, “And I’m about to make another one,” before his lips came crashing down on mine. 1

This story is all over the place. i'm trying my best to keep going because he would be so good The writer and editor communicated at least a little. (Yes I understand its 1 maybe 2 people writing and tending to the story) However, everyone needs to be on the same page. The characters names continue to change: Rachel at first then her name changed to Rebecca, Ethans sister name is now jenna. some times they talk in 3rd person which I'm sure is a accident when its in that characters POV. How did we do a time jump 5 years making Matt 13 with Judy's son being 5 years old but when we get to the Blackwell story line he's nine again and she's still pregnant using her time with matt to gain experience with her son. What happened to the time jump....
Is it just me, or do they add chapters daily for one week then leave you in suspense for a week before they start posting again? The book is amazing, but it's frustrating being in such high excitement and thrill then being left with your mind boggling....
Thank you for continuing to write this story! Trying to be grateful for the recent 2 small chapters a day, however due to enjoying it so much, wish they were more and longer....
Could the author please get the names correct…CHESTER is Nan’s mate —NOT Chuck. I don’t know who is writing these chapters, but I do not think it is the original author. Considering the original author has quite a few ongoing stories, she must have handed this one off to someone else. Very disappointing!...
Has the author forgot her own story? Didn't lila/Racheal date gavin when he first got Mathew? Meaning that she's the same or similar age as gavin! Now it's changed that she's born on the same day as Judy......
This book has gone off the rails. First there was a Five Years Later chapter where everyone had kids and Irene was marked and pregnant by Chuck and now they're not mated and Chuck is a slime ball. Make it make sense....
I don't understand thus story. Didn't she just win 5 million in the gamma games? Why is she living with people and not in her own place?...
