Judy’s POV
“And he knows that you aren’t his biological child?” asked, glancing down at a sleeping Matthew.
Gavin nodded.
“Yes,” he said softly. “He remembers his time with his mother. It wasn’t good and he often still has nightmares. He started to call me dad a few years ago after he started living with me.‘
“It was nice of you to take him in,” I said, my heart swelled a little at the thought of Gavin caring about someone so much that he would do anything for them. He treated Matt just like he was his normal son, and I never had any reason to doubt that Matt wasn’t his son.
“He’s family,” Gavin said with a shrug,
I wanted to say more, but I wasn’t sure what to say. I wasn’t sure what would be appropriate to say. So, I remained quiet until the car pulled to a stop in front of the villa.
“We should probably wake him so we can get started on his lessons for today,” I said.
Gavin nodded.
I nudged Matt a little and ran my hand down the side of his face; he looked so peaceful when he was sleeping, and I felt bad waking him up. But soon, his eyes fluttered open and he yawned as he lifted his head off my arm to look around the car.
“Are we home?” He asked, blinking a few times to adjust his
eyes.
“Yes,” I answered at the same time as Gavin answered “We are.”
I looked at Gavin and I couldn’t help the warmth that spread across my face.
“Thanks for helping me today,” Matt said as he hugged me. “You were a good mom.”
I blushed even harder now, and the smirk Gavin had on his mouth did not go unnoticed.
“Let’s go inside and get some work done,” I said as I pushed the door open, not wanting to discuss this any further.
I heard Matt’s laughter sounding from behind me.
Third Person POV
“Remind me again why we are preparing all these meals,” Ethan asked as he stared at all the different platters that had been set up by malds.
Irene had been running around all morning like a chicken with her head cut off, making sure everything was clean and cooked perfectly
“Because my cousin Walter is coming to visit from a different country, and he has never been here before! I haven’t seen him since I was a little girl and I’m so excited to meet him again.

“What country? And How long is he here for?”
“France; and he’s here for a month,” Irene answered. He’s a journalist and he’s working on at worldwide article. He’s looking for the latest scoop and he wanted to start here.”
“So, Walter is your father’s nephew?” Ethan asked.
“Yes,” she replied. “My father has a younger brother and an older sister. He’s the middle child.”
Irene perked up, a large smile on her lips as she turned to face Ethan.
“He’s here,” she said, grabbing his hand. “Let’s go!”

Together, they walked into the front foyer where a few gamma warriors were stationed. Adam had the door open and was greeting the young man who walked into the villa.

Walter’s smile was radiant,

This story is all over the place. i'm trying my best to keep going because he would be so good The writer and editor communicated at least a little. (Yes I understand its 1 maybe 2 people writing and tending to the story) However, everyone needs to be on the same page. The characters names continue to change: Rachel at first then her name changed to Rebecca, Ethans sister name is now jenna. some times they talk in 3rd person which I'm sure is a accident when its in that characters POV. How did we do a time jump 5 years making Matt 13 with Judy's son being 5 years old but when we get to the Blackwell story line he's nine again and she's still pregnant using her time with matt to gain experience with her son. What happened to the time jump....
Is it just me, or do they add chapters daily for one week then leave you in suspense for a week before they start posting again? The book is amazing, but it's frustrating being in such high excitement and thrill then being left with your mind boggling....
Thank you for continuing to write this story! Trying to be grateful for the recent 2 small chapters a day, however due to enjoying it so much, wish they were more and longer....
Could the author please get the names correct…CHESTER is Nan’s mate —NOT Chuck. I don’t know who is writing these chapters, but I do not think it is the original author. Considering the original author has quite a few ongoing stories, she must have handed this one off to someone else. Very disappointing!...
Has the author forgot her own story? Didn't lila/Racheal date gavin when he first got Mathew? Meaning that she's the same or similar age as gavin! Now it's changed that she's born on the same day as Judy......
This book has gone off the rails. First there was a Five Years Later chapter where everyone had kids and Irene was marked and pregnant by Chuck and now they're not mated and Chuck is a slime ball. Make it make sense....
I don't understand thus story. Didn't she just win 5 million in the gamma games? Why is she living with people and not in her own place?...
No updates/new chapters since 10/14/2025???? This is so frustrating for those of us who have followed this book/author from the beginning! So disappointing!...
