His lips found mine, and heat coursed through me, lighting my face on fire. The reaction my body had towards him was as if this were all brand new. I hoped that feeling never went away.
When he pulled back, I saw a twinkle of something in his eyes, and I couldn’t help the smile that stretched across my face.
“We’ll leave after breakfast,” he tells me, and my heart nearly stops in my chest.
“So, it’s official… we are leaving today…” It wasn’t a question, and I wasn’t entirely sure if I was talking to him or myself.
He frowned as he stared around my face.
“Isn’t that what you wanted?” He asked. “To meet with Coraline Blackwell and get answers?”
I nodded without hesitation, but that didn’t make my nerves settle.
“Yes,” I breathed. “It’s just a little overwhelming.”
He reached over and brushed a strand of hair out of my face.
“I’ll be there with you, and I won’t leave your side,” he assured me.
The sound of the sizzling bacon brought his attention back to the stove. He continued to cook, and I stood there, watching him, my heart beating faster and faster. I wasn’t sure how I had gotten so lucky, but I felt like the luckiest woman in the entire world to be marrying Gavin Landry.
I couldn’t help the stupid smile on my face or the way I felt so much lighter.
He plated the food and handed me a couple of them. I brought them over to the table, and he brought over a couple to the table as well. As if they already knew that breakfast was ready, Irene and Matt rushed into the kitchen.
“It smells so good in here,” Matt said, practically jumping on his toes.
I sat at the table and motioned for him to sit as well. Gavin brought over a pot of coffee and a jug of orange juice, setting them both on the table in the center. Matt reached for the orange juice, and Irene sat down.
“Good morning,” I say to her.
She gave me a small smile.
I could see that her eyes were a bit bloodshot, so I knew she spent the night crying, and she was still wearing one of Chuck’s sweatshirts.
“Morning,” she said softly as she poured herself a cup of coffee.
“Okay,” she breathed. “Thank you.”
I nodded and started to eat my food. It was embarrassing how fast I ate… but I am eating for two after all.
I took a large sip of orange juice, hating that I couldn’t have any of the coffee. We ate the rest of breakfast in silence, and by the time we finished, the villa staff arrived to start their day. Those who worked in the kitchen were surprised to see that we had already cooked and eaten our own breakfast. But they contributed by cleaning up the mess for us, and Gavin thanked them.
Matt and Irene went off to do their own thing, and then Gavin turned to me, a determined look in his eyes.
“Are you ready to go?” He asked.
I took in a deep breath and then released it before nodding slowly.
“I’m ready,” I told him.
This was it... We were about to leave and meet the woman who could finally give us some answers. Now I just had to hope that she would give them to us.
We were about to find out the kind of woman… or witch… Coraline Blackwell was.

I guess since almost a month has passed since any chapters were posted that was the end of the story. What does everyone think?? I’d like to know. Thanks....
Was that it?? Author needs to say whether it is the end of the story. After this I won’t ever read another from this author. It’s ridiculous....
Assuming the book's finished?...
It is getting SO OLD waiting for new chapters. Good Grief. What is the problem?...
Is this the end of the story?...
Will there be anymore chapters??...
Has the story ended?...
Love the story but we need consistent multiple chapters to published weekly. This is taking too long....
When can we get more chapters...
Where are the chapters from 906 onwards?? It doesn’t generate any chapters just blank pages....
