“Over my dead body,” Gavin said through his teeth. “I’m not letting that asshole have my daughter.”

“And that’s why I love you,” I said, kissing his cheek.

His brows furrowed as he looked down at me.

“Because I refuse to let Chuck win?” he asked.

I let out a soft laugh.

“No, because you’re an amazing man and an even more amazing father,” I replied.

He pressed his lips to mine, and I melted in the kiss.

“When this is over…once Irene’s curse is broken, and she can be free from this jerk, I want us to get married.”

I blinked at him.

“Our wedding is in a couple of months,” I reminded him.

He nodded and pulled me even closer to him, so I was practically sitting on his lap.

“Yes,” Jeremy answered. “You mentioned that. Do what you must, and if punishment needs to take place, I’d like to be informed of it.”

“You have my word,” Gavin said with a nod.

“It won’t be easy to convince him to go with you,” Alpha Jeremy warned. “I’ll inform the warriors not to interfere because there’s a chance you may need to use force.”
