“I’m so sorry, Judy,” my mom said before I had the chance to speak. “I should have told you the truth. Keeping it from you wasn’t right, but most importantly, I shouldn’t have let Meg convince me to look the other way when you were switched at birth. We never really understood what happened, but Meg could sense the magic that still clung to you even after they took your powers. We knew it was selfish, but we wanted to keep you safe. To Meg, you might have been used as a decoy, but to us, you’ve always been our daughter, and we would never trade you for anything.”
Tears swirled in my eyes as I wrapped my arms around her.
“I love you, Mom,” I whispered. “I’m so sorry for doubting you… I just hated the idea of being used as a decoy to hide another baby… one you were trying to protect. At the expense of another family.”
She wrapped me in her arms and held me a bit tighter.
“Oh, sweetie, I know how it must make us look. I never truly forgave myself for taking a daughter away from her mother. But your father and I never thought of you as a decoy, despite everything. You’ll always be our daughter, no matter what. I don’t care if you are a Blackwell, or a Churchill, or a Landry… you will always be a Montague.” She kissed the side of my face. “Don’t ever forget that.”
I hug her tighter.
“I never will,” I assured her before I pulled away. I wiped the tears beneath my eyes and smiled at her. “I have to go… I have a pack to win over.”
My mother squeezed my hand.
“Judy, you are going to make a great Luna. Soon, the pack will see that as well,” my mother said, a small smile forming on her lips. “And if you can’t win them this time, there’s always next time. You have so many already in your corner. You don’t need to worry about a thing. It’ll work out.”
My heart swelled at her words, and Like Nan earlier, I believe her. I felt more confident going to this party.
I hugged my mother one last time before I left and went downstairs to join Nan, Irene, and Gavin.
Nan and Irene had invitations that included plus ones… which is why they are both attending with Gavin and me, because neither of us was invited to Lila’s party; shocker.
“Ready to go?” Nan asked.
“As ready as we’ll ever be,” Irene said, sounding as thrilled as I felt.
On that note, we left my parents’ home and got into the back of the limo; Erik was the driver, and when Irene saw him, she tensed beside me. I looked over at her, wondering if she was okay, but she was looking down at her hands, her cheeks red.
I made a mental note to talk to her later.
When we reached the party, my heart started to hammer even wilder against my chest. There were so many people, and a majority of them I recognized from around the pack. Erik pulled up towards the front and parked the limo.

“I love you,” he murmured against my lips.
Before I could reply, he was pulling back and answering the call, pressing his phone to his ear as he walked away to a quieter place.
I turned to Irene and Nan while I said, ‘And then there were 3.”

“Names?”
“Judy Montague,” I replied.
He searched the list, his frown deep.
“You’re not on the list… You cannot enter this party without being on this list.”

I guess since almost a month has passed since any chapters were posted that was the end of the story. What does everyone think?? I’d like to know. Thanks....
Was that it?? Author needs to say whether it is the end of the story. After this I won’t ever read another from this author. It’s ridiculous....

Love the story but we need consistent multiple chapters to published weekly. This is taking too long....
When can we get more chapters...
Where are the chapters from 906 onwards?? It doesn’t generate any chapters just blank pages....
