Seducing My Ex’s Father In Law novel Chapter 935

Judy’s POV

Daisy stood at the end of the altar like a deer in the headlights. Her eyes darted around the space, a nervous expression clear on her face. She wore a simple black dress, nothing too showy, which was surprising for Daisy.

My eyes darted to Gavin’s mother, who just stared at Daisy, her expression blank. I wondered what was going through her head at this moment. Daisy was once very close to her, but then she betrayed her and the family. I wasn’t sure if she could redeem herself for that, even if it were because Noah was toying with her through a mate bond she didn’t even want.

“My almost wife just asked you a question,” Gavin said, his voice bellowing across the courtyard.

It was so quiet that a pin could be heard if it fell.

“I’m sorry, I didn’t mean to interrupt,” she said, her eyes finding mine. “I’ve only come to show my support.”

I raised my brows, confused by her words.

“You’re support?” I asked, not sure I heard her correctly.

“Yes…” she said softly. “And to apologize for all I’ve done. I know I’ve said it before… but it wasn’t what I wanted. I hope we can start over and maybe even be friends one day.”

I looked at Gavin, but he looked unconvinced.

“Why do you suddenly want to be friends? I thought you were leaving town and starting over somewhere fresh,” he said, folding his arms across his chest.

She swallowed, her throat working overtime.

“Because this had always been my home,” she said, tears filling her eyes. “I don’t want to leave my home. I don’t have anywhere else to go.”

Gavin was about to speak, and I knew what he was going to say. He didn’t trust Daisy, and he didn’t want her anywhere near our pack. But I put my hand on his shoulder, drawing his attention to me and claiming him slightly.
