Nate gritted his teeth. "I won't back down! I'm going to become Everly's man!"
Having Sonny as a rival only made Nate more determined.
The things Sonny said before leaving made him even more jealous.
When Nate went to Flemming Group, he could not even get through the front gates. Going to the Flemming residence was no different.
He had asked Everly out for dinner, but she firmly rejected him. Yet, Kaden had personally invited Sonny to the Flemming residence for breakfast. He even personally asked Sonny to accompany Everly to a banquet.
The opportunities Nate was desperate for were being handed to Sonny by the Flemmings without him even having to ask.
Comparison was the thief of joy.
Sonny did not care what Nate thought or how jealous he was. After returning to the office, he went straight to the small lounge and fell asleep without another thought.
Nate had taken up twenty minutes of his time, leaving him with only half an hour for his lunch break.
Half an hour later, he got up. He splashed cold water on his face to wash away the sleepiness, then checked himself in the mirror. Once satisfied, he left the lounge.
As he made himself a cup of coffee, his phone rang.
It was from Laurence.
Sonny sat down in his black swivel chair, holding the coffee in one hand and answering the call with the other.
"Laurence, you don't have to keep reminding me. I'll fly to Havenmill next week."
Sonny spoke first before Laurence could say anything.
