Annoyed now, he warned, impatience in his voice, “Cut it out. Aren’t you afraid I’ll tell your husband?”

“Boring,” she muttered, finally letting go, lips pouting. “You used to call me ‘sweetle‘ when we watched the moon. Now the new girl’s replaced the old, and you’re threatening to tattle. Men are so dull.”

“Alright, alright, married women should behave. Stop fooling around.” Baxter quickly stepped away, worried she’d cling to him again.

Thankfully, her phone rang–probably her husband. She turned aside to answer and left.

Only then did Baxter head downstairs to check in.

He had just reached the elevator bank when he ran into Calvin and Medea.

He swore inwardly.

What a damn coincidence. How could he bump into these two everywhere?
