Despite Calvin’s brief appearance, the atmosphere in the private room had clearly shifted.

Even the people who had been making things difficult for her earlier now looked at her with a hint of sympathy.

Eliza paused for a moment, then casually asked, “Is Mr. West here as well?”

“Yes, he is. President Young invited him to talk about the project.”

“How’s the discussion going?” Eliza checked her makeup in the mirror, carefully fixing the smudged lipstick.

Julia, washing her hands beside her, replied, “It’s going pretty smoothly. It seems like Director Wynn’s alcohol tolerance isn’t great–she got drunk after just two drinks, President Young probably got worried and decided to send her back before coming back.”

“Why do you say that?” Eliza snapped back to reality and realized her lipstick was already fading, so she quickly reapplied it.

“Because the project they’re discussing tonight is still in the early stages, yet President Young personally brought Director Wynn to meet with Mr. West. That’s a bit odd.”

Compared to Julia’s surprise, Eliza was already unfazed.

After all, it wasn’t the first time Calvin had favored Medea.

He had once accompanied her to negotiate a minor project for an expansion investment.

After leaving the restroom, Eliza followed Julia to the private room to greet Mr. West.

In business, one couldn’t miss any opportunity.

Eliza caught a glimpse of a familiar profile picture in her peripheral vision.

It was Medea ‘s.

No wonder he was so preoccupied.

He would rather leave Mr. West waiting while he focused on replying to Medea ‘s messages.
