Eliza was both angered and amused by his nonchalant eight words.

He knew very well that it was Gideon who was deliberately causing trouble and sabotaging things.

But he silently allowed it, indulging Gideon in tormenting and humiliating her over and over.

Eliza was furious. Her eyes glistened with unshed tears, her voice cold as ice.

“Since Mr. Young is so generous, how about compensating me with one million?”

Before Calvin could speak.

Gideon couldn’t hold back and mocked Eliza, “Are you trying to extort money? It’s just one computer. Even if it’s the highest configuration, it’s not

worth much!”

“Then let’s compensate at the highest price,” Calvin immediately concluded.

It seemed as though he thought this was enough to give Eliza face, hoping she would know her place.

He had already checked the price on his phone, and after handing her a check, he left.

Most likely in a hurry to meet Medea.

Eliza, having been wronged, knew Gideon was the most satisfied.

“Eliza, do you see now? You’re worth nothing in Mr. Young’s eyes!”

Mr. Young gave her a separate project with no budget limits, personally accompanying her to networking events, introducing people, pulling resources, giving her the best display spot, and fully supporting her career.”

“Eliza, you ve been trying for seven years but still didn’t get what Medea got the moment she returned. She doesn’t even have to do anything, and she gets everything you’ve ever wanted”

“And you, you’ve been a dog for so long, doing everything, yet you ended up with nothing That’s the difference between you two”

“You can’t compare to Medea at all Got it?”

After saying all this, Gideon felt utterly relieved

He felt like all the frustrations he had suffered from fliza were finally avenged

He eagerly waited to see her collapse, hoping she would be like a stray dog, tail between her legs, from now on.

Eliza “treated” him to it.

Gideon was caught off guard, the drink splashing across his face, and he didn’t even have time to react.

Before he could throw a fit, Eliza calmly spoke, “You just need to remember one thing: I, Eliza, don’t care to compare myself to anyone.”

“And there are plenty of men out there, just one Calvin. If Medea likes him, she can have him.”

“Also, I only avoid pestilence. If you admit that you’re the pestilence, I’ll just avoid you.”

“Eliza!” Gideon was, as expected, furious.

Eliza glanced at him disdainfully, using the same tone Calvin had earlier, “How much is the damage? I’ll compensate.”

“Also, don’t ask for too much, or I’ll report you for extortion.”

With that, she threw the check Calvin had just given her at Gideon.

With his filthy hands, he might as well take it to the trash bin.

Gideon, having suffered such a big loss, naturally wasn’t about to let it go so easily.

But before he could settle the score with Eliza, several,security guards came over to inquire about the situation.

Eliza took the opportunity to say, “Someone is causing trouble.”

The security guards, experienced as they were, immediately assessed the situation and without further ado, escorted Gideon away.

Finally, it was quiet.

Eliza had just finished tidying up the area when Enzo returned with the screen mirroring equipment.

Enzo felt guilty.

Eliza remained calm and even comforted him, saying there would be other opportunities.

“You have a good attitude,” Enzo sincerely admired Eliza.

“It’s all from experience in the workplace, I’ve been through much harder situations than this, so this really doesn’t count for much.”

She always spoke about her past hardships so casually.

Enzo, hearing that, couldn’t help but feel a twinge of sympathy.

He knew how difficult it was for women to survive in the workplace.

And because of that understanding, he felt sorry for her.

Eliza was focused on cleaning up the booth and didn’t notice what Enzo was thinking.

But when answering his questions, she couldn’t help but feel a little reflective.

Her ability to remain calm in the face of adversity now was entirely due to Calvin’s indifference to her in the past.

Thinking about this, she glanced over at Medea’s booth.

Calvin was still by her side, acting like a personal bodyguard, always protecting her.

Coincidentally, Calvin looked up and met her gaze just as she was pulling her attention away.

Their eyes briefly met, before both of them looked away.

Gideon returned, having changed clothes, his anger still simmering. “The security here is clueless! They actually said I was the one causing trouble! They almost threw me out. Thank goodness my dad knows some people, or I would have been in trouble.”

Seeing that Medea’s gifts had almost all been distributed, Gideon felt much better.

After all, Eliza didn’t even get a chance to showcase anything.
