At the event, many people glanced in Eliza’s direction, including some new connections and potential capital sources she had made.

Though no one said anything, the looks they gave her were enough to make Medea feel completely humiliated.

success.”

His words of encouragement lifted Medea’s spirits.

It seemed like Calvin truly cared about her.

“This time it was my oversight. It won’t happen again.” Medea explained and reassured him.

Calvin simply said. “Don’t put too much pressure on yourself.”

“Alright.” Medea felt completely reassured.

“Tll go get the car, you wait here.” After giving his instructions, Calvin headed to the parking lot.

Once he left. Medea exhaled slowly.

She mentally replayed everything, trying to figure out where things went wrong and why she had been humiliated in front of so many people.

Eliza’s project had been passed over when Medea first became the director of the third division.

At that time, there had been some personal grudges involved, but Medea had consulted Calvin about it.

Calvin hadn’t said much, only that she had the right to reject any project from the third division without consulting him, and that he supported any decisions she made.

So, it was her own oversight.

If she hadn’t been influenced by personal feelings, “ASKHEART” would have been hers!

How could Eliza have gotten her hands on it?

She had only lost to herself, not to Eliza.

Once Medea thought about it, she felt much better.

She was looking forward to Calvin coming back to pick her up when she suddenly spotted a familiar figure in the crowd.

It was Josh.

She opened her mouth to call out to him but hesitated when she noticed the bouquet of flowers in his arms.

In that brief moment of hesitation, Josh, holding the flowers, entered the venue without turning back.

Medea immediately pulled out her phone and dialed Josh’s number.

He didn’t pick up.

Unwilling to give up, she dialed again.

This time, Josh simply cut the call.

Medea felt a chill run through her heart.

After so many years together, she had never received flowers from him.

She thought Josh just didn’t have a romantic bone in his body, that he didn’t understand a woman’s heart.

She felt like a fool for thinking that way!

Gideon had originally planned to chase after Medea, but since staying behind only meant frustration and annoyance,

he was about to call her when he saw Josh holding a bouquet of flowers.

“Josh…” He called out to him.

His voice was loud enough that Josh should have heard him.

But Josh didn’t even glance in his direction, walking straight toward Eliza.

Gideon’s second attempt at calling out was stuck in his throat; he couldn’t make a sound.

After Eliza came down from the stage, several people surrounded her, asking for her contact information.

Among them were well–known entrepreneurs and investors.

Eliza didn’t refuse anyone, adding them all.

After all, the more friends, the more opportunities; it was always good to build relationships in case of future collaborations.

When she finally “escaped” the crowd, a large bouquet of sunflowers appeared in front of her.

The bouquet was so big that it blocked the person holding it.

Eliza turned her head to see who it was.

As the bouquet lowered, the familiar face of Josh emerged.

Eliza was delighted, “How did you get here?”

“How could I miss such an important moment?” Josh gestured for her to take the flowers.

“Thank you!” Eliza graciously accepted the celebratory bouquet.

However, she didn’t have time to chat with Josh. She was anxious to find Enzo, fearing something had gone wrong.

Just as she was about to call him, Enzo returned.

He was wearing a set of clothes that didn’t quite fit, his hair was wet, and his face was full of distress.
