Before leaving, Thea purposely lingered by the door, looking at Eliza with a pitiful expression.

Thea happily left the meeting room.

After a bit more discussion, it was time to wrap up, and Eliza was about to send the two men off.

Josh suddenly said, “I’m planning to watch the fireworks too. Since we’re headed the same way, would you like to go together?”

She glanced at Baxter but didn’t have a chance to speak before he added, “I’d like to see it too. If you don’t mind, I’d like to join as well.”

“Then how about we find a place to sit?” Eliza suggested.

The suggestion was unanimously agreed upon.
