Allan quietly gave Stella a thumbs-up.

He thought, ‘Sophia’s face is turning green with envy, just like a freshly pickled garlic clove, green all the way

to the core.

‘This is pure bliss.

Stella let out a soft chuckle and asked, “Wasn’t it Carlos who told me to get out?”

The next second, Stella wiped all expression from her face and sneered, “Who are you to order me around?”

As he snapped out of his shock, Carlos was so furious that he nearly spat blood. He fumed inwardly, ‘How does she even have the nerve to say that?’

Carlos spluttered, “You…”

Sophia quickly put on her best ‘first wife’ act in front of Annette, reaching out and patting Carlos’s chest. She said, “Don’t get upset, your heart can’t take it!”

Her eyes were still red from crying all night, and she shot Stella a look full of shared indignation.

Suddenly, a derisive laugh echoed through the room.

Annette, sitting in her wheelchair, didn’t bother with pleasantries. She said, “Carlos, I think the real issue isn’t your heart. It’s your brain!”

Stella thought, ‘Wow. I like this old lady.

As soon as Annette spoke up, Allan quickly turned to face the hospital wall, his shoulders shaking as he tried hard not to burst out laughing.

He thought, ‘That’s the stuff.

Annette reached out and patted Stella’s hand. She said, “Girl, go teach him a lesson for me!”

Everyone was left speechless.

Stella smirked, her black lace-up wedge heels tapping against the floor as she walked right up to Carlos.

Carlos kept backing away. He stammered, “Y-you dare?”

The next second, everyone heard a sharp smack as Stella slapped Carlos right across the face.

Everyone was stunned.

They thought, ‘Talk about guts. One actually said it, and the other actually did it.

Allan thought, ‘Holy crap, with Stella’s strength, is Carlos even gonna make it out alive?’

And the answer? Hell yes.

Carlos survived.

Stella pulled back almost all her strength, like 99.9%.

But even so, Carlos still ended up spitting out a fake tooth on the spot.

Broderick just stood there, totally speechless. Dragged into the spotlight, he just wanted the ground to swallow him whole.

He grumbled inwardly, ‘I’m the world’s number one attorney. Cases worth hundreds of millions are a dime a dozen for me! So why am I here, looking like a total clown?’

It all started with Broderick’s obsession with Clusia’s chess. He’d been playing online when some kid hacker exploited a loophole, and being a man of his word, he ended up screwing himself over and landing here.

When Carlos said that, the lawyers from Harmony Law Firm all went stiff, their faces turning grim.

Broderick looked surprised. He asked, “You know who I am?”

He thought, ‘She’s just a kid. How does she even know about me?
