Chapter 200 Sebastian, Our Kitchen Just Blew Up
Stella tossed it straight at the henchman.
The henchman caught it without thinking.
He spread his palm open.
There it was, the key to his super familiar sports car, just lying there.
The henchman was speechless.
‘My precious supercar, he thought, totally stunned.
He looked up, totally out of it, just gawking at Stella.
The henchman was speechless.
Stella had no idea she’d just wrecked his world. She just brushed it off, cool as ever. She said, “Let’s go.”
“Stella,” the henchman called out to her from behind.
Stella stopped, cool as ever, but didn’t bother turning around.
The henchman called out, “Thanks.”
On the way back, Stella was using her iPad to help Emily with her thesis.
Next to her, Sebastian looked like he was gazing out the window, but in reality, he was watching her through the reflection in the glass.
“Done staring?” Stella said, not even bothering to look up.
Sebastian was speechless.
He reached out with his long, well-defined fingers and covered the screen, just looking at her in silence.
Sebastian said, “You haven’t paid any attention to me since we got in the car.”
Stella kept her eyes on the screen.
His voice was low and husky. Sebastian said, “You were glued to your phone the whole way to Edenbury Academy, and now you’re glued to your iPad the whole way back to the island.”
He just kept muttering under his breath, like a kid sulking because he didn’t get enough attention.
Stella fell silent.
Jake kept his eyes on the road, saying nothing.
Quietly, he perked up his ears, hoping to catch every bit of the conversation.
Sebastian called out, “Jake.”
He shot Jake a cold, warning glare.
That was a warning.
Jake, all brawn and no nerves, actually shivered and scrambled to hit the button to raise the soundproof partition.
Stella let out a sigh, twirling her Apple Pencil between her fingers in a fancy little move. She said, “I did.”
‘Yeah, I did, she thought.
Sebastian shot back, “No, you didn’t.”
“Didn’t I ask you to pass me the iPad?” Stella replied.
Sebastian’s eyes went wide, totally thrown by her answer. He was just about to protest when Stella nudged his lips with the tip of her Apple Pencil.
Sebastian was stunned.
Stella said, “Behave, don’t be difficult.”

She tapped his lips twice with her Apple Pencil, her smile soft and teasing as she coaxed him patiently.
Sebastian’s phone started buzzing like crazy.
It was his private line.
He didn’t even bother with it, just kept staring at Stella, his eyes behind those frameless glasses full of complicated emotions.
Stella said, a bit exasperated, “Sebastian, your phone’s ringing.”
Sebastian was speechless.
He pulled out his phone, face cold as ice, and answered.
Almost the second he picked up, Allan’s voice exploded in his ear. He said, “Sebastian, our kitchen just blew up.”
Sebastian fell silent.
Stella was speechless.
They were both confused.
Half an hour later, they arrived in Sandridge Island.
Sebastian sat in his wheelchair, his handsome but sickly face totally blank. A dark aura seemed to swirl around him as he stared gloomily at the disaster that used to be his kitchen.
Stella was speechless.
She silently glanced over at Lucas, Big Ben, and Snowball, all lined up like little soldiers, trying their best to look innocent.
Honestly, it looked even worse than if a bomb had gone off.
Lucas tried to look cute, fidgeting with his fingers and poking them together.
Sebastian said, “Everyone, stand up straight.”
His voice was icy, sending chills down their spines.
With a sudden slither, Snowball, who’d been coiled up on the floor, instantly straightened up like a giant strand of spaghetti, pressing against the wall.
It shivered and wobbled. ‘I totally saw this coming; that’s so sad,’ Snowball thought.
Stella was speechless.
Allan shook his head.
Annette fell silent.
Sebastian said, “Apologize to the kitchen.”
The three little ones shuffled over to the kitchen door, looking all guilty and obedient.
They bowed once.
Lucas giggled.
They bowed again.
Big Ben said, “Sorry.”
They bowed a third time.
Snowball made some hissing sounds as he was saying sorry.
Then they all whipped their heads around to look at Sebastian, giving him their best puppy-dog eyes.
Allan called out, “Sebastian, come on.”
Sebastian just ignored him completely.
Annette called softly, “Sebastian.”
Sebastian stayed totally unmoved.

Lucas’s eyes welled up with tears as he touched his index fingers together, looking at Stella pitifully.
‘Stella, save me, Lucas thought, eyes full of hope.
Sebastian snapped, “Lucas. You are not allowed to act cute.”
Lucas instantly clapped his little hands over his ears and shook his head like crazy.
‘I’m not listening, I’m not listening, he thought, determined to block out Sebastian’s scolding.
Then Lucas reached out his little hands to Stella, clearly asking for a hug.
‘Hug me,’ he thought, eyes shining with hope.
Stella was speechless.
Without hesitation, Stella pulled Lucas into her arms. She said, “Don’t yell at him.”
Lucas nodded enthusiastically, his little face soft and pale, looking adorably pitiful.
‘Uncle Sebastian is being super mean, I’m so miserable. Only a hug from Stella will make it all better, Lucas thought.
Sebastian fell silent.
‘So it’s fine to yell at me, huh?’ Sebastian thought, feeling a bit put out.
Feeling like they finally had someone to back them up, Big Ben and Snowball quietly shuffled behind Stella, each resting their big, fluffy heads on one of her shoulders.
They looked all sad and helpless, hoping Stella would save them.
Allan shook his head.
Annette fell silent.
Even though it probably wasn’t the best time to speak up, Allan still raised his hand timidly. He said, “Can I ask a question?”
Sebastian and Stella both whipped their heads around to look at him and asked, “Just ask.”
They said it in perfect unison.
Allan asked, “So, how are we supposed to eat tonight?”
Stella was speechless.
Sebastian fell silent.
Lucas fell silent.
Annette fell silent.
They were hungry.
Twenty minutes later, they arrived at the back hill.
Five people, a robot, a snake, and a peregrine falcon that had been forcibly woken up were all standing at the half-open iron gate at the back of the hill.
This was where the Yates family members lived and trained.
Lucas cocked his head, peering at the little warning sign by the back hill gate.
He tugged at Stella’s sleeve.
Then he pointed at the sign, looking all confused.
His face went blank, totally dazed.
Stella glanced at the sign and said, “Scary beasts Inside.”
She read the sign out loud, exactly as it was written, and when she finished, everyone fell silent.
Annette thought for a couple of seconds, then asked, “So, just how fierce are we talking?”
From where Stella was standing, she spotted some writing on the back of the little sign. She reached out and
