At the dining table, Sebastian was calmly eating his breakfast.

Allan covered his mouth with his hand, but those muffled giggles still escaped through his fingers.
His shoulders shook with suppressed laughter.
In front of them, Lucas, Big Ben, and Snowball looked like they’d just been hauled out of a coal mine; three little faces covered in soot, round as coal nuggets.
Lucas, choking back sobs, hugged Sebastian’s leg and gave Sebastian’s leg a little shake.
Sebastian looked down, expressionless, and met the gaze of a sooty little face.
Sebastian fell silent.
‘The soot was spread pretty evenly,’ Sebastian thought to himself.
He raised his hand, pressed it to Lucas’s sooty forehead, and gave him a little push.
Lucas tumbled down with the soft plop and ended up sitting on the floor, looking stunned.
Lucas poked himself.
“Lucas, you’re all black,” Big Ben said.
Then Big Ben started wailing and saying, “I’m black, too.”
Snowball was blubbering nonsense.
‘Even I’m all black. I’m so embarrassed,’ Snowball thought.
The dining room was a total circus.
Allan propped his chin on one hand, grinning mischievously. He said, “Wonder who got on the kitchen fairy’s bad side?”
Sebastian’s cold lips parted slightly. He asked, “Still planning to blow up the kitchen?”
Lucas kept shaking his head, whimpering, as tears rolled down his cheeks like tiny pearls.
Lucas thought, ‘I’m all black. I want to cry.
Sebastian asked, “You two?”
Big Ben and Snowball shook their heads together.
Sebastian asked, “You still dare to drive?”

Stella, dressed in her Edenbury Academy uniform with a backpack slung over one shoulder, walked into the dining room. She heard a sudden whoosh, and her hand froze mid-sip. ‘What just ran past?’ she wondered.
Stella fell silent.
Allan pointed under the table, clearly enjoying the chaos.
Stella bent down, curiosity piqued, and peeked under the table.
She saw Lucas, Big Ben, and Snowball huddled together, backs to her, each using both hands, and even their little tails, to cover their faces.
Stella gave Lucas a playful poke.
Lucas fell silent.
Lucas wriggled in embarrassment.
Stella poked him again.
Lucas squirmed even harder.
Lucas thought, ‘Ugh, I look hideous!’
Stella asked, “Who’s this little cutie hiding under here?”
Lucas hesitated, still facing away from Stella, and shyly reached out to poke her.
Big Ben said, “Yours. Yours. Your little cutie.”
Stella asked, “So, can my little cutie turn around and let me see that face?”
Lucas, Big Ben, and Snowball all turned around slowly, still looking super shy and embarrassed.
Lucas pouted, looking all pitiful, and reached out to Stella, wanting her comfort.
He held onto her finger and tugged her into the kitchen, which was still only half cleaned up.
Big Ben and Snowball tagged along after them.
Lucas reached out and patted the stove, making a little pat sound.
He put his two sooty little hands together in a pleading gesture, looking as sincere as possible, and apologized to all the pots and pans.
‘I didn’t mean to do it. Kitchen fairy, please don’t be mad at Lucas anymore,’ Lucas thought.
“Today, you have to help the housekeeper clean up. Once the kitchen is sparkling, my little Lucas will be squeaky clean again,” Stella said, bent down, tapped his sooty little nose, and grinned.

By the time Stella came out of the kitchen, Lucas, Big Ben, and Snowball were already huffing and puffing, scrubbing away at the mess with all their energy.
Allan mimed a dramatic silent applause for her, totally impressed.
‘Epic, Allan thought to himself.
Sebastian looked up, expressionless, and handed her a glass of milk. He asked, “What’s that?”
Stella raised an eyebrow as she took it. “Cosmetics,” She took a sip of milk, then said, “It’s super waterproof.”
It barely came off.
Stella just grinned.
Allan said, “Stella, you’re a genius.”
‘Those three little rascals are never gonna forget the kitchen fairy, like, ever,’ Allan thought to himself.
Allan gave her a big thumbs-up.
“I’ve got something to take care of today, so I won’t be going to school,” Sebastian said, handing her a sandwich. “Let Jake give you a ride.”
Stella shook her head and replied, “No need, I’ll just bike there myself.”
Sebastian frowned. He asked, “Are you having lunch in the cafeteria, or do you want me to have Jake bring you something?”
Stella replied, “I’ll just eat in the cafeteria.”
Sebastian was about to say something else, but Stella cut him off by clapping a hand over his mouth. She said, “Gotta go. See you tonight.”
Moments later, the engine roared to life downstairs.
Stella hopped onto the Lightning LS-218, gunned the throttle, and blasted out of there like a streak of lightning.
At Edenbury Academy, the grand carved gates swung wide open, and outside, luxury rides lined up one after another, dropping off students in style.
And suddenly, the engine thundered, a stunning black monster bike tore through the crowd, and rolled straight through the school gates. The morning sun hit its streamlined body, and the whole thing just screamed cool.
A few seconds later, the students crowding the entrance went absolutely wild.
‘Holy crap, that’s badass,’ everyone thought.

“Wait, is that Declan?” someone blurted out.
“No way. Declan doesn’t ride that bike,” another student argued.

Everyone started chattering at once, the whole entrance exploding with gossip.
Stella parked her Lightning LS-218 right outside the main building, not slowing down for anyone.
Every student in front of the building stopped and stared. Stella swung off her bike like she owned the place, whipped off her helmet, and her long hair cascaded down like a waterfall. Her face was as pale as snow, totally unreadable.
Her beauty was so unreal, it made everyone forget to breathe.
She locked up her bike with a casual flick of her wrist, slung her black backpack over one shoulder, and strode into the building like she owned the place.
Everywhere she went, students scrambled to get out of her way.
In Senior Class 3, one of the girls leaned over to Chantel and whispered, “Chantel, that new girl is seriously shameless. She’s totally trying to show off like Declan, riding a motorcycle to school.”
Chantel just sat there, her purple hair gleaming, not saying a word.
Just thinking about how Declan acted toward Stella at the morning assembly, plus what went down in the bathroom, made Chantel’s expression turn seriously sour.
“Watch me, Chantel,” one of her friends said with a mischievous grin.
Her friends sprang into action, rigging up a paint bucket over the door, hunting down a toy snake, and getting everything set. All they needed now was for Stella to come upstairs.
The rest of the class might’ve been rolling their eyes, but with Chantel’s relative being the big boss off campus, no one had the guts to say anything out loud.
On the stairs, Stella felt something wasn’t right as she headed up.
Her backpack seemed a bit heavier than it should be.
