Annette put her hand over her mouth and blinked.

After a while, she turned to Theo and asked, “You saw that, didn’t you?”

Theo just stared, stone-faced.

He replied, “I didn’t see anything.”

He was deadpan lying, not missing a beat.

He gave himself a silent thumbs-up for his dedication.

Annette just stood there, at a loss for words.

Stella called, “Annette?”

Annette spun around with a gentle smile, but the moment she saw Stella still in that plain white shirt and jeans, she waved her hand dismissively. She said, “Didn’t I tell you last night? Today’s look is up to me! Let’s go!”

She grabbed the paper bag from Theo’s hand, hooked Stella’s arm, and whisked her right back into the dressing room.

Lucas and Theo locked eyes at the doorway, both wide-eyed and totally lost.

Downstairs in the dining room, Allan, dressed in a burgundy shirt, stood across from Big Ben, rubbing his chin with his thumb and forefinger.

As Sebastian walked by behind him, Allan called out, “Hey Sebastian, doesn’t Big Ben seem kinda off today?”

Sebastian glanced up, shooting him a cold look.

Allan pressed, “No, for real. He’s acting super strange!”

Right as he said that, Big Ben let out a startup beep, and a gentle white glow lit up at his fingertips.

Big Ben announced, “Automatic scan initiated.”

Allan just froze, looking totally confused.

He stood there like a statue while Big Ben scanned him from head to toe. It took him a second to catch on. He asked, “What are you scanning me for?”

Big Ben replied, “Male, about 6’2″, age roughly 29, health: 91%. And…”

He tilted his head.

Allan blinked. “And what? What do you mean by that?”

Big Ben went on, “Based on my analysis, you’re actually still a virgin-” Before he could finish, Allan practically tackled him, slapping a hand over Big Ben’s mouth.

Allan yelled, “Shut up!”

Sebastian, already at the table, gave a cold chuckle.

“We’re both in the same mess, so what the hell are you laughing at?” Allan shot back.

Still grumbling, Allan yanked out a chair and plopped down. He grabbed the cup of “black coffee” on the table and downed most of it in one go.

His expression froze.

Then he spat it right back into the cup, not caring at all.

Allan blurted out, “What the hell is this?”

Sebastian replied, “It’s Grandma’s herbal brew.”

Allan looked up, totally losing it. He said, “Is it really for humans?”

Suddenly, there was a loud hissing sound from nearby.

Allan and Sebastian whipped their heads around, searching for where the noise came from.

Big Ben, standing there with a suspiciously “friendly” look, stared straight at Snowball, who was sprawled out lazily on a tree, not giving him the time of day.

Hearing the commotion, Snowball slowly twisted his massive head around.

He happened to lock eyes with Big Ben, who was practically drooling over him.

Snowball thought, ‘Is he drooling?’

Snowball froze.

Allan asked Big Ben, “What are you staring at?”

Big Ben said, “This snake’s so massive, you couldn’t even fit it in a pot!”

Allan asked, “Are you guys seriously taking it out today?”

Sebastian fell silent.

Half an hour later, a black Maybach pulled up to the villa entrance.

Stella, already changed, took the elevator straight down to the underground garage and was lounging lazily in

the car.

John got out and opened the door for Sebastian.

Meanwhile, Allan was still chatting with Sebastian. He said, “Everyone in management is on our side…” But mid-sentence, he realized Sebastian was staring straight into the car, totally locked in.

Allan asked, “What are you looking at?”

He started to turn, following Sebastian’s line of sight, but before he could react, John, quick as ever, had already snapped the back door shut.

Allan was utterly confused.

Sebastian looked up and said, “Get in the house!”

Allan looked totally baffled.

Sebastian repeated coldly, “You. Get. In.”

He said it again, each word sharp and clear, leaving no room for argument.

Allan grumbled inwardly, ‘I must’ve committed some serious crimes in my previous life to end up with a friend this moody.

‘I’m really paying for it now.’

Allan stomped off toward the villa, muttering curses and shooting dirty looks at Sebastian’s back the whole

way.

Sebastian stared at the car window in silence, with Big Ben right next to him, head cocked in an adorably curious way.

The car window slid down from the inside.

Stella’s ridiculously gorgeous face popped into view.

Big Ben exclaimed, “Whoa!”

He slapped his hands over his mouth, looking totally adorable,

Stella asked, “Aren’t you getting in?”

She propped her chin on one hand, her tone laid-back and lazy,

Sebastian started to say something, but stopped short, “You…”

Stella raised an eyebrow and asked, “Do I look good?”

Annette had styled her from head to toe, and Stella hadn’t gotten a single word in edgewise.

Sebastian just nodded and said, “Yeah.”

He’d caught a glimpse of her the instant the back door swung open.

Big Ben said, “Stella, beautiful.”

Stella gave a lazy smile and said, “Thanks.”

He even gave her a finger heart.

Then he turned to Sebastian, who was expressionless, and teased, “Sebastian, your heart’s racing!”

He kept flashing finger hearts.
